PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1986- 1988 Worked as Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, MBM Engineering College, University of Jodhpur. Taught Surveying, Hydraulics, Graphic Statics, Matrix methods of structural analysis.
1988- 1990 Underwent training for Group-A officers of Indian Railways, held at Railway Staff College, Vadodara, Indian Railway Institute of Civil Engineering, Pune and various at Important projects like Rail cum road Bridge across river Brahmaputra, Jogigopa, Multiple spans of 53 M Precast PSC box girder across Thane creek in Central railway, Multiple spans of 43 m Precast Box girder across Vasai creek in Western Railway and many others on the Indian Railways.
1990- 1993 Worked as Assistant Engineer/ Tandur on Bombay- Secunderabad route, where the Rajdhani Express at 110 Kmph was introduced on the existing track structure with directed maintenance inputs.
1993- 1996 Worked as Divisional Engineer/ Hubli. Responsible for maintenance of track, building, bridges and other assets on Pune- Miraj- Londa section on Pune- Bangalore route. The Job required managing work force of about 300 people, maintenance of colonies with 100- 150 dwellings, important, major bridges and viaducts etc. The section had a ghat for a length of 100 Kms between Ambale- Satara characterised with Deep Cuttings (15-20 M deep), Viaducts, Tunnels and sharp curves of 6 degrees. In recognition of substantial improvement in maintenance of track, received General Manager's award in the year 1996.
1996- 1999 Works as Senior Divisional Engineer on Kazipet- Vijaywada section on Group A route (Speed potential 130 Kmph) of Chennai- New Delhi. Responsible for maintenance of track, bridges and buildings though manual and Machine maintenance. The Job required managing workforce of around two hundred people, inter departmental co- ordination, dealing with Labour unions and planning for improvement of track structure.Speed of the section was increased from 110 Kmph to 130 Kmph with identification of inputs, planning and execution of connected works like q Screening of ballast with Ballast cleaning machines, ballasting, machine packing, q Attending to structural defects, replacing wooden layouts with concrete layouts using Points and crossing portal cranes like Plasseurs T-28 cranes under traffic duly carrying work in blocks.q Replacing large Nos of 6.1 m girder bridges with Prestressed Concrete slabs under traffic bock using road cranes.q Improving track geometry by identification of inputs through foot-by-foot survey and directed track maintenance.
1999- 2003 Worked as Deputy Chief Engineer/ Raichur. Responsible for survey and preparation of detailed estimates for Mahabubnagar- Munirabad New line ( 428 Kms), Gadwal- Raichur New Line (60 Kms), Nandyal- Yerraguntla New Line (126 Kms) and planning and design of Important bridges on Wadi- Guntakal- Renigunta section of Bombay- Madras route. q 15 Kms of doubling between Yeramara- Krishna was completed and opened for traffic at 80 Kmph. The project was completed with due attention to quality of work. A laboratory was established at site with testing facilities for soil and fresh and hardened concreteq Survey Planning, Design and execution of substructure for Major Bridge across river Krishna (36 spans of 30.48 M PSC Box girders) was carried out.q Survey, exploration, Planning and design of Bridge across Cheyyar (25 spans of 40 M PSC Box Girder) and across river Papagni (14 spans of 40 M PSC Box Girder) were carried out.q Land Acquisition for 60 Kms from Yerraguntla end, on Nandyal- Yerraguntla section, was carried out.
2003- 2005 q Worked for a short period as Deputy Chief Engineer/ Design, when software was developed by me for strength assessment of Arch Bridges. This software was used extensively for assessment and upgradation of Arch Bridges on routes where Gauge Conversion projects.q Worked as Deputy Chief Engineer/Nanded responsible for Gauge Conversion of Mudkhed- Adilabad, Gauge Conversion Project (117 Kms). The section Adilabad- Kinwat that was characterised with Deep Cutting (25 m Deep), steep gradient (1 in 80 and alignment passing through thick reserved forest was opened for traffic. In regonition of outstanding work, a group cash war of Rs. 3,00,000 was given by MOSR while dedicating the section to traffic.
2005 till date Working as Deputy Chief Engineer/ Track Procurement, responsible for procurement of Rails, sleepers and track fittings for the targeted projects of South Central Railway. Materials were arranged in time for the targeted lengths which are of the order of 200- 350 Kms with advance planning, fixing contracts and execution of Purchases.
