JOB PROFILE / EXPERIENCE:
Currently with M/s Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast (LLC), Dubai, U.A.E., as Project Safety Manager.

Responsible for implementation of Health & Safety Management System in accordance to the prevailing legislative requirements from concerned authorities, company's Safety Policy an line with international standards.

* Support and coach projects construction teams, and in particular the safety officers, site supervisors and workers in managing site safety
* Review progress against annual HSE plans and objectives, attend regular meetings with client / consultants / contractors to reinforce the project's HSE objectives and standards, and monitor performance against plans
* Advise project teams on HSE legislation and procedures on-site
* Provide inductions /organize safety awareness training within the site teams
* Set up and coordinate a programme of inspection of all construction equipment, including cranes, lifting gear, scaffolding, electrical tools and equipment, welding and burning equipment, vehicles, and issue reports with corrective actions.
* Arrange daily inspections of projects by line and site safety personnel to identify and correct non-compliance with safe working practices
* Monitor the effectiveness of all safety elements of the HSE programme, including training, toolbox talks, risk assessments and inspections
* Investigate and provide reports to management, identify underlying root causes, on any high risk potential incidents, including illnesses, injuries, asset damage, environmental incidents or incidents with reputation risk
* Implement corporate safety initiatives and assist in the development of site-based safety awareness campaigns and promotion schemes
* Monitor and report on the safety performance to the management
* Conduct HSE inspections and audits
* Verify that the work practices followed at site are as per the procedures set out in the HSE plan and all requirements of authorities regarding safety and Environmental guidelines are fully complied with.
