The project is located at the northern most part of UAE (Ras Al Khaimah Emirates) on
Persian Gulf coast. The Hulayla Industrial Park-Marine Works mainly comprises
Construction of 4713 m long concrete block gravity type quay wall around the perimeter of the port basin.
Dredging in the access channel and in the port basin of approx 6.0 million cum.
Reclamation behind the quay wall of approximate 6 million cum.
Installation of quay wall furniture like fender, bollard, ladder, mooring ring.
Installation of navigation aids.
Total project value is 350 Million AED.

As an Assistant Resident Engineer responsible to provide assistance to Resident Engineer for the monitoring, planning, engineering, operational and administration matters relating to all activities of the project. Provide technical assistance and design support for some quay extension and design change due to the change of end user's requirement to client and contractors during the project development. Attend meetings with client & contractor, preparation of weekly & monthly reports, minutes of meetings; verification of interim valuations; reporting of defects, non-conformities, unsafe practices; liaise with contractors on various issues and taking action of remedial measures. Also responsible for the feasibility study for the potential scope of new developments.

Al Marjan Island Development, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE (June, 2007- April, 2008)
Project is located on the Persian Gulf coast of Ras Al Khaimah Emirates, around 80 km north of Dubai where a complete new island is being created for residential & commercial purpose. The project consists
New creation of two separate islands.
One has 4.6 km peripheral containment bund with rock armoring at sea side and inside reclamation with 11 million cum of dredged marine sand.
Another one has 7.0 km of peripheral containment bund and 8.5 million cum of dredging & reclamation.
Project value AED 632 million.
As an Sr. Marine Engineer responsible for the monitoring of all marine activities, attending meetings with client & contractor, preparation of weekly & monthly reports, minutes of meetings, review of drawings & designs submitted by the contractors, reporting of defects, non-conformities, unsafe practices, and taking action of remedial measures.

Jebel Ali New Container Terminal, Dubai, UAE (April, 2007 - May, 2007)

This is 1st phase of the mega expansion of existing Jebel Ali Port in Dubai. The project consists 2650 M long quay wall with alongside depth of 18m.
Approx 6 km long enclosed offshore breakwater for reclamation for 2nd phase berth expansion.
Dredging and reclamation volume 30 million cum.
Project Value AED 2.5 billion.
Responsibilities as a Sr. Marine Engineer for all marine activities like rock and Stabit (Concrete Armour) placing, pecast block placing over underwater rock embankment, geotextile placing, reporting of any defects, non conformities and unsafe practices, preparation of weekly reports etc.
Client: Dubai Port Authority, DP World
Contractor: Hyundai Engineering for Quay Wall and Jan De Nul for Breakwater, Dredging and Reclamation.

Dubai Maritime City Project, -Dubai, UAE (June 2006 - March 2007)
The project is located between the Port Rashid, Dubai and Dubai Drydock facility where a new reclamation is being created by filling of marine sand bounded by the southern breakwater of Port Rashid on its east side. The project consists
3.8 Km long gravity quay walls with depth alongside of 7m. making an enclosed basin.
A fitting out quay area designed for yachts. This area has a gravity wall of 628m. long with alongside depth of 5m. A 51m. long slipway is to be constructed at the corner.
A 50m. long finger pier projects into the basin area.
An area with 650m long gravity quay walls and finger jetties for small craft as a marina.
A pair of shiplifts on the south wall of the basin having capacity of 3000 MT 90m. long platform and 6000MT 130m. long platform and a shiplift control building.
Project Value AED 453 million.
Responsibilities as a Maritime Engineer for all marine activities like underwater rock placing, pecast block placing over underwater embankment, geotextile installation, block precast yard, tubular pile, sheet pile driving for shiplift platform and also reporting of any defects, non conformities and unsafe practices, preparation of weekly reports etc.
Client: Nakheel, Dubai
Contractor: Van-Oord and Besix JV.

From March, 2006 - May, 2006:- Adani Group (www.adanigroup.com)

The project comprises the extension of Mundra Port (www.portofmundra.com), development of Mundra SEZ and construction of other various facilities like, drydock yard, shiplift etc.
Responsibilities as an Astt. Manager (Marine) for all type of marine construction activities including planning and coordination with various contractors.

Second Vivekananda Bridge - Kolkata, India (March 2005 - Feb, 2006)
The project is the construction of Second Vivekananda Bridge, over river Hooghly at Kolkata, India. It consists of the
10 Km. long concrete segmental construction including both side approaches main bridge having cable stayed extra dosed design with 8 spans of 110m each substructure consists of 8 nos. 10m diameter well foundation (44m to 50m sinking depth).
Project value, INR 50 billion.
Responsibilities as Sr. Engineer for various activities of Water Well foundations from launching of floating caisson to monitoring of sinking, preparation of progress reports, charts and attending progress review and safety meetings with client.

Management Contractor/ Consultant: Parsons Brinkerhoff - CES JV in association with International Bridge Technologies Inc., San Diego, USA

LNG Receiving Terminal and Port - Hazira, Surat, India - (Feb, 2003 - Feb, 2005)
The project was a construction of LNG storage tanks, Regasification plant, Intake water structures, and LNG receiving jetty protected by two breakwaters. Our part consists of the followings:
North Breakwater cum causeway (1200 m length, 45 m width at top).
South Breakwater (1700 m length).
Dredging (0.3 million m3).
Rock placing (4.2 million ton).
ACCROPODES (Concrete armour blocks - 14000 nos.).
Project value, INR 45 billion.
Responsibilities as Sr. Engineer (Offshore) for the construction of 1.2 km breakwater cum causeway (North Causeway) and 1.7 km spur (Southern Spur)/ Placing of geotextile, rocks and ACCROPODES under water from marine mode using 7nos Crane Barge, 2nos Mooring Barge, and 2nos Split Barge equipped with GPS, approx. 150000cum of dredging by Toyo pump and clam shell for Sea Water Intake Structure. Worked under high standard of safety measures.

The project involves construction of a fixed sloping concrete passenger jetty over precast piles and allied bank protection work using geotextile at the jetty location on the bank of river Haldi at Haldia, West Bengal, India.
As a Consulting Engineer responsible for the feasibility study, preparation of report for the client, complete methodology and planning of the whole project using MS Project, preparation & submission of interim & final bills, regular interaction with clients etc.

Fishing Harbour at Pondicherry, India-

Construction of a Fishing Harbour consists of 350 m. long diaphragm wall (11m. depth & 500mm. thick), sloping hard for boat repairing yard, 350m long apron slab of 5m. wide and about 100,000 cum of dredging. It was located on the mouth of river Ariyankuppam at Pondycherry, East Coast of India, Bay of Bengal.
As a Site Resident Engineer responsible for the supervision & execution of project works, managing and full utilization of all machineries, manpower including the subcontractor's also, preparation & submission of interim & final bills, regular interaction with clients and preparation of project report, progress report.

Client: Public Works Department, Govt. Of Pondicherry, India

From Sept. 1998 - Jul 2000:- CASA ENGINEERS INTL. PVT. LTD., Calcutta

Construction of 2 nos. passenger ferry jetties with terminal buildings, one is a fixed concrete sloping jetty over RCC bored piles and precast piles, and the other is a gangway pontoon jetty over RCC bored piles consists of two steel bridge approach of Pratt type truss( 30m span) and a 9m.„e30m. steel pontoon.
As Site Resident Engineer, responsible for the supervision, inspection & monitoring of the project and monitoring of quality control as per IS codes etc, preparation of fortnightly progress report etc.

Land reclamation and river bank protection work using geotextile on the bank of river Hooghly at Sagar Island, West Bengal, India. Some river training works was done after studying the nature of river flows along the reclaimed area and performed identification of location for the construction of permeable spurs, placing of Hexapods etc.
As a Site Resident Engineer, responsible for the supervision and monitoring of the project activities, reporting of the observations related to the nature and behavior of the river and was also involved in the preparation for feasibility report and study.
