Health & Safety Manager – JACOBS ENGINEERING LIMITED
Responsible for the Health, Safety and Environmental management of the SSE Aldbrough Gas Storage facility, which involves the drilling, work over and snubbing operations of 9 underground gas storage caverns, and the construction of a central processing area.
Also responsible for the HSE Management of the Atwick 2 underground gas storage well re-configuration project, which involves the removal and replacement of existing dewatering string, the de-watering and de-gassing of the well and cavern sonar surveys.
Reporting to the Resident Construction Manager and Projects Director. Duties include preparing the site construction phase health and safety plan, and keeping it updated. Developing and implementing the site specific commissioning permit to work procedures, developing site specific HSE procedures. Chairing Monthly Safety Leadership meetings and attending joint venture meetings with silent partner client, carrying out health & safety evaluations/appraisals of potential sub-contractors and heading a team of four safety advisors who are currently operating a two shift system.
