Through my long experience I gained a good knowledge on how to apply strategic plans and monitoring them throughout the GCC and the ME within a variety of different sectors. While working in Saudi Arabia at AAR ( Abdullah Ali Reza Co ) and in Kuwait at AGG Group as CFO and CEO, in addition to a number of special assignments in the ME, I was heavily involved at the top strategic levels within various economic sectors and activities, where I monitored operations at corporate levels and concluded a number of turnaround plans, and converted privately owned companies ( family ) to public concerns. Three prime attentions during this experience were Property, Banking and International trading( including FMCG). An example of one massive project based in Egypt valued at approximately $2B. My experience also spans across other industries including Manufacturing, Real Estate and portfolio Investments. I am knowledgeable in Islamic financial products, encompassing compliance methodologies and restructures.
I still retain a good network of bankers and other associates within the GCC as well as market makers in other countries in the Middle East and Western countries as well. I developed experience within Private Equity and Venture Capital, having established more than 10 PE/VC projects from start to finish. This experience has provided me deep knowledge of how portfolio companies work and risk mitigation for different countries, in addition to origination. Accordingly I am well connected and have a good power of placement I speak fluent Arabic, English and French with acceptable levels of German as well and hold a PhD in Economics. I have been doing some consulting work in Malaysia and China recently.
