CREATIVE AND INNOVATIVE PROBLEM SOVING
Trouble shooting: (BG NGL Project with Original Budget $186M - Budget Growth to $400M and was continued to grow) I was call end to evaluate and identified the problems (Management Problems/Project Controls ¡V Failure of Project Controls to properly manage and control project/Forecasting/Contract Deficiency).
Duke Energy (2000) - Developed new Estimating philosophy and Excel Template program, which changed the way Dukes estimated projects. This template program and philosophy save Duke Energy $3M per year and has been in use for nine years. I personal initiated said action on my personal time and without management's prior approval.
Safety (1993): Developed Phillips 66 (Houston Chemical Complex) Phillips Contractor's Safety Audit Sheet. This new audit tool simplified and provided historical tracking of safety items which reduce lost man-hours and promote safety audit proficiency which is still in use today (Saving "Priceless"). I personal initiated said action on my personal time and without management's prior approval.
As Client Site Engineer/Representative promoting a non-adversarial teem environment I was able to institute methods that increased productivity 25% by changing construction methods and practices. Phillips 66 Houston Chemical Complex saved over $5M and Zachary Construction received special recognition for a job well done. I personal initiated said action on my personal time and without management's prior approval.
Developed a computer program changed Texas Eastern's test program as to the way they identified, stored, and retrieved DOT, hydro-static tests historical data, and was expected to save the company $4M per year in overhead operating cost.
As the proven resourceful Senior Project Manager I handled all the "Problematical or endangered" pipeline, desalting projects and other facilities (Saudi Arabia). Some of the problems I deal with included, pipe laying off a thousand foot escarpment, making complex tie-ins in the bay at low tide, pigging activities, QA/QC management, liaison, and project development.
