PROFILE OF EXPERIENCE
Construction
- Review the Engineering design and construction work in accordance with the Project Specifications and applicable Standards.
- Review inters-disciplinary interfaces and follow up with the Engineering team.
- Write construction specifications for mechanical construction activities and interface with construction personnel during construction and testing.
- Review and clarify the Technical / Engineering queries of the various sub-contractors.
- Check, review and ensure that all the Field Design Modifications / Changes, Contract Engineering Data Sheets are processed and recorded.
- Ensure all the field modifications are recorded and the "As-Built drawings are incorporated in the drawings.
- Review of the Project procurement materials with the concurrence to the relevant design an drawings.
- Review, Coordinate and monitor the manufacturing plans of various vendors and contractors, give them target dates based on overall project plan and also make inspections during the fabrication stage.
- Review the FAT punch and follow-up the punch list clearance process.
- Project Planning and scheduling of construction to link up with other infrastructure facilities and hand over.
- Make, review and implement method statements for execution of Construction.
- Review and monitor the rigging methodologies with Job Safety analysis made and implemented by the Contractors
- Issue Mechanical progress figures with daily, weekly, and monthly discipline reports.
- Push & make improvements for achieving the various milestones & targets during the construction phase.
- Coordination with Client, vendors, plant personnel, other departments and contractors.
- Ensure that all the Non-Conformance Reports issued during Procurement and Construction phase are closed promptly by the concerned responsible group
- Make, publish and ensure the signing off the Mechanical punch list.
- Implement & maintain Safety Standards and codes.
- Identify the back charges and ensure to notify the concerned contractors of the deviations.
- Issue of Field instructions, make change orders and progress valuations.
- Review and ensure the contractors compliance with all Quality Plans, Procedures, Inspection Test Plans, Erection Completion Packages in coordination with the QC Dept

Commissioning
- Preparation of the commissioning procedures and schedules.
- Ensure that adequate care and maintenance / preservation of equipment are being carried.
- Make all Mechanical Sub-System Pre-commissioning specific tools dossiers at RFC stage.
- Plan the critical commissioning, operational spares for all the Equipments.
- Review and ensure that any requests raised for waive off's and concessions by the contractors quickly resolved
- Prepare, review and Ensure that the Technical Documents are issued and controlled within the commissioning group in accordance to the Project procedures.
- Reviewing specifications and procurement requirements to ensure adequate provision been made for testing, flushing, cleaning and other pre-commissioning functions.
- Prepare, Review and complete all Commissioning check lists as per the specifications.
- Perform checkout, cleaning and commissioning tasks on various equipments.
- Ensure that adequate care and maintenance of Equipment / Preservation of Equipments
- Undertake mechanical run tests of all Rotating Equipments and their trouble shooting.
- Maintain commissioning and start-up records.
- Preparation of preventive maintenance & lubrication schedules.
- Utilize the safety tagging and lockout procedure/process.
- Planning, scheduling and performance of equipment maintenance during the commissioning and start-up of the plant.
- Supervise assigned construction craft labour.
- Participate in Facility performance and acceptance testing.
- Preparation and implementation of preventive maintenance & lubrication schedules
- Compilation of maintenance data for review and analysis.
- Shutdown planning and co-ordination with the contractors.

I am responsible for the Erection and Commissioning of all rotating and static equipments. Which consist of Pumps and Compressors, EOT Cranes, Filters, RO Modules, Exchangers and Vessels. Lead a multinational work force consisting of Engineers, Supervisors and workmen of different crafts and trades and reporting to the Site and Commissioning Managers.

DODSAL PTE LIMITED, Occidental's Northern Oman Gas Project, Safah, Oman.
Mechanical Engineer, October 2003 – Feb-2004.

I was responsible for the Erection and Commissioning of rotating and static equipments. Which consist of Compressors driven by Superior Engines(GSI Weatherford) and Gas Turbines (Taurus 60 units supplied by Solar) & Atlas Copco and their related Air Coolers, Exchangers, KO Drums, Scrubbers & other Package units. Lead a multinational work force team and report to the Chief Construction and Commissioning Managers.

I was involved in the Commissioning & Maintenance activities of the Gas Turbines (3nos each with cap of 242MW), Gas Station, Auxiliary Boilers (2nos 370tons/Hr), HRSG's (3nos 700tons/hr), and Demin Water Station. I was very responsible for carrying out Mechanical Commissioning and Maintenance activities of the total plant. Headed a multinational workforce team and report to the Site and the Commissioning Managers.

Which include Siemens make Gas Turbines (V93.4) 238 MW, Gas Compressors of Nuovo Pignone (SRL) & Boje makes, CBI make FD Fans, BFW's Pumps of Thermo Mechhanica & process pumps of Garbarino makes, Diesel Gen Sets (Deutz make) & Static Equipments like Feed Water Tanks, Dearetors, Total Gas Station Equipments including storage modules, GPRS skids, Gas filters & flare, demin plant equipments like mixed bed filters. Headed a multinational workforce team and reported to the Chief Construction & Commissioning Managers.

This is the world's largest refinery. I was responsible for the Commissioning & Maintenance of Gas & Steam Turbines, Pumps, Centrifugal and Reciprocating Compressors of Alfa Laval, Ingersoll Rand. & Pumps of different makes, maintenance of Columns, Storage Tanks etc. in the Aromatics Plant and was reporting to the Maintenance Manager and the Plant Manager.

My Roles included technical service and maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation of the plant. Some of my responsibilities are associated with the breakdown and preventative maintenance. Supervise and co-ordinate a multi-disciplined work force in the day to day running of a CENTRAL PRODUCTION FACILITY, which includes gas & steam turbines, Centrifugal and Reciprocating Compressors & pumps, valves.
