Served as HSE director for drilling operations in Bolivia, Colombia and Peru. Responsible for HSE, fire prevention and security for 7 drilling rigs in Bolivia, 9 in Colombia and 1 in Peru. Prepared and carried out training of all personnel expatriate and local in safety orientations and contents of HSE manual, Stop for Supervisors, Defensive Driving, Welding Cutting and Brazing. Prepared booklets for the orientations of new hires. Carried out safety audits of the drilling rigs assisting the tool pusher in preparing solutions to the observed nonconformance.

Conducted extensive project safety reviews, and monitored construction to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, PDVSA, NFPA and Maraven standards. Assisted in HazOp and post HazOp engineering design changes and made appropriate recommendations.

Outlined a customized computer system to aid in the prioritizing and scheduling of work orders for plant daily maintenance, Coordinated safety aspects in the general programming.
