SYNOPSIS: ESTIMATION ENGINEER: Preparation of detailed forecast, expenditure, contracts, costing and control systems, invoices and scheduling for Projects. Construction progress payment, Standard Cost, Fixed and variable overhead rates and Cost Inventory. Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements, including balance sheets and statement of income for projects. Calculated labour and material earned value analysis (EVMS) provided bidding support including development of real time spread sheet analysis tool. Supported engineering office staff using complex critical path method network schedule (CPM) and bar charts: analysed, evaluated and determined impact of forecasted current status (EAC) against established baseline schedule using earned value (EVMS) and prepared monthly report to Management Team. Controlled Costs, Revieved contractors estimate, developed/analysed control budgets, cost to schedule integration. Liaison with Client, Consultant, Sub-contractors and Internal departments to get complete information on assignments and instructions to Discipline Managers. Explain the cost variance to the Discipline Managers/Financial Controller/Client/Consultant. Overall responsibility for controls the resource mobilization, costing & billing, project MIS, etc.
I was reporting to Management Team and Finance Officer and had active participation in Internal as well as External Meetings (Client, Consultants).

PLANNING ENGINEER: Liaison with Client, Consultant, Sub-contractors and Internal departments to get complete information on assignments for further instructions to Project Engineers. Conduct daily planning/production meetings with Site Manager/Project Engineers for discussing critical activities/project schedules/constraints. Issue Daily Work Schedule/Resource Allocation as well as Plans/Look-Ahead (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly). Explain the daily plan versus actual (including variance) to the Client/Consultant. Overall responsibility for control of manpower allocation, resource mobilization, Materials Controlling, costing & billing, project MIS, etc. I was reporting to Management Team and Construction Manager and had active participation in Internal as well as External Meetings (Client, Consultants).
CONTRACT’S ENGINEER: Tendering- Drafting of Contract documents i.e. like Instruction to Bidders, General Conditions of Contract, special Conditions of contract, subcontract Agreements etc, Preparation of Bid Inquiry, Issue of Bid inquiries, coordination with Subcontractors, Commercial evaluation of their offers and negotiation, Issue of Contracts / work order And their amendments, change orders etc, Analyse & settle extra claims of Sub – Contractors through negotiation and formalization, sub- contractor’s performance monitoring & reporting in coordination with Construction Manager/ project Manager. Sourcing, evaluating & qualification of Subcontractors. Maintaining and updating the company’s qualified Subcontractor’s list.

* Gulf Petrochemical Services (GPS),EPIC PLANNING ENGINEER Since May 2003 till date: PDO (Shell) Harweel & and Birba EPIC Project-Planning/ Estimation Engineer

Work involves Design, Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning, (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation) of underground GRE flow line, hook-up of 11 Wells, X-mess trees, Remote Manifolds, etc. to the Birba Gathering/Production Station, through a Bulk Line of 85 km, upgrading the various facilities - Gas (Recovery, Booster and Injection) Compressors and EOT Cranes, Separators (Level 1, 2 and 3), Shipping Pump, Condensate Pump, AP Flare Package, Nitrogen Receiver, Instrument air Receiver and Skid, Vent Flare Scrubber, Chemical Injection Skids, Multi-phase Flow Meters, Drain Drums, modifications to existing Columns, Tanks, Pipe Racks and, installation of New Pipe Racks.

* ALGHALBI TRDG & SVCS, Oman: Planning/Costing Engineer – SEP 2001- APR 2003.
Mechanical Service Contract to PDO (Shell)- Construction of flow line, PE Lining, workshop activities, execution, pigging, hydro testing of flow lines and hand-over to client. Demolition of existing facilities - gathering stations, storage tanks and field manifolds - and scrapping of old flow lines. I was also responsible for organizing meetings - internal as well as external - and MIS.

* BHAGHEERATHA ELECTRICALS & STRUCTURALS LTD, India
Depty Manager – Estimation, Costing, Planning & Coordination, NOV 2000 - SEP 2001
Assignment: Construction of CNG Gas steel grid underground network (12 km) for MAGHANAGAR GAS LIMTED under BRITISH GAS, which involved installation of gas monitoring station, HDPE/MDPE pipes and Cathodic Protection Systems. I was responsible for Estimation, Costing, Tendering for EPC Projects, Planning, managing project engineers, coordination (clients, consultants, and sub-contractors) for issue of engineering drawings, schedules, plans and, liaison with local bodies and other departments for various clearances.

* DHEERAJ ELECTRICALS&STRUCTURALS LTD, India
Project/Estimation Coordinator – June-November 2000
Responsibility included Costing, Estimation, and Tendering for EPC & LSTK Projects.

* SPACE ENGINEERING, India: ESTIMATION/PROJECT ENGINEER – Aug 1999 - May 2000
Responsible for overall coordination of Planning, Materials, Purchase, Work Shop, Execution, etc. for the following two projects:
- Mechanical Piping and Construction of HDPS Plant for HPCL.
- Shutdown for Reliance Industries, Patalganga Plant for their PTA Division.

Work involved management of site engineers, providing required materials, clearances, drawings, planning schedules and guiding them to achieve production targets as per schedule. Coordination of various activities within the organization (Corporate Management, Planning department, QA/QC, HSE, Stores & Purchase, Administration, Finance, etc.) and outside (Client, Design Consultants, Sub-Contractors, etc). Reported to Resident Engineer and was responsible for reconciliation of materials during project execution.
* ARABIAN INDUSTRIES, Oman: Planning/Costing Engineer – Sept 1997 – July 1999
DCME& I Mechanical service contract to PDO(Shell) for construction of flow line and station, wellhead hooks-up, shut-down, demolition of old facilities, section replacements, leak clamping, pigging, hydro-testing, and commissioning. I was responsible for Document Control and Project Management.

* PETRON ENGG LTD, India, Planning/Costing Engineer – Jan 1995 – Sept 1997.
Assignment: Construction of MRPL (Mangalore Refineries) Unit - Hydro cracker, Marx, Hydrogen Plant, GSFC Gujarat (Ammonia-004 Plant) and IPCL Gujarat (BDR Plant). Work involved Mechanical Equipment Erection & Piping, Prefab Erection, hydro test of piping and grid loops, erection and alignment of equipment and overall coordination including MIS, Document Control. Also worked as Shut-Down Shift In-charge for 45 days (Butadiene Revamp works) in HPCL Baroda during 996-97 and was responsible for entire shut-down activity from identification of tie-ins with consultants and client, issue of Plan to project engineers, arrange resources, manpower and materials, update activity cards for completion, and hand-over the system for commissioning.

* AA Erectors, India: Engnr Trainee/Site Engineer: Jun 1992 – Jan 1995.
Work involved site supervision and coordination to achieve project completion (piping construction) sub-contracted to Petron Engineering India Limited on time. Controlled a workforce of more than 80 (~10 crews) for fabrication, erection, welding of piping and structural, mechanical clearance, hydro testing, handing over loops, tie-ins, timely supply of required materials from stores (client scope), workshop (prefabricated piping spools and structural, painted spools, raw materials), engineering drawings approved by the consultant/client, etc. and reported to Site Manager.
