Work include running, planning and maintenance of the main propulsion plant (MAN B&W 2-Stroke 16900 PS @ 88 rpm), Generators ( M200 EN 4Stroke Diesel)- Check condition, wear,clearances, O'haul and test fuel injectors, air starting valves, cylinder relief valves, inlet exhaust valves, fuel pumps, cylinder head, piston, fuel lub and air filters, indicator cocks, Crank case inspection, Checking Crank Shaft deflections etc. Boilers- (Osaka Oil Fired Marine Boiler Working Pressure 6 Kg/Sq cm)- Check the correct operation of boiler including water level and burner, carry out boiler water checks and treatments, Adjust feed water treatment according to test findings, blow down the boiler, Isolate boiler, Open up Boiler inspecting its condition internally and externally, Inspect feed check valve, Safety Valve, O'haul and blow through gauge glass checking Passages, Cocks valves etc. Single and Multi stage air compressors – Reciprocating type, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Plant - Refrigerant charging, Carry out leak detection checks, Checking safety devices, Compressors etc Pumps Maintenance of various types of pumps including centrifugal, reciprocating, Screw, Gear etc. Pipe lines Renewing as well as repairing line systems- Bilge, Ballast, Fuel Oil Service, Fuel Oil transfer, Jacket water, Lub oil, Compressed air, Steam, Exhaust Gas and feed water systems Valves- O'haul as well as replace valves including Gate, Globe, Butterfly, SDNR, Pressure Reducing, Pressure Relief etc. Heat Exchangers- Shell and tube type, Shell and coil type, Flat plate type etc.
Other experience include maintenance of various fixed and portable type fire extinguishers- Mechanical and chemical foam type, Dry powder, Carbon Dioxide, Fire Hydrants and fire hoses etc.
