~ EDMS data/documents bulkloading, data synchronization among different application Oracle databases;
~ CAD/EDMS Report Extraction with the help of VB6 from oracle database;
~ Oracle Database Administration; in-house programming in VB, DCOM, ASP; Windows Administration (NT/2000/XP); Managing Backup System (like Veritas, Exabyte etc.).

August'1995 – March'2001 Tecnimont ICB, India (including one year deputation at Tecnimont, Italy) as PDS2D Administrator

EXPERIENCE

SABIC (April'2001 – present)

Working as EDMS Engineer in "Sabic Shared Service" under Design Management Department, EPM; responsible for technical Data/Documentation and Cad Administration for Sabic Affiliates at Yanbu.

1. Smart Plant P&ID Administration: Installation, creating plant hierarchy, setting user access rights, working in drawing manager, catalog explorer, options manager, engineering data editor, managing stockpiles & matching off-page connectors to ease job of cad-operators, data import from excel files to stockpile, users' training, trouble-shooting etc.

2. Smart Plant Instrumentation (intools) Administration: Installation, creating users & access rights, initializing domain, creating plant hierarchy, naming convention, users' support to create loops, tags, datasheet, reference panel, cable, marshaling rack etc to complete wiring connection alongwith cross wiring & dcs management, users' support to generate enhanced smart loops, managing macros in cad loop drawings, creating hook-up items & BOM, creating index/reports from browser, backup of the project database, upgrading from one version to another etc.

3. EDMS Administration: EDMS activities like Bulkloading data/documents and relationships, Users support, trouble-shooting, creating rules, database administration, report generation etc. To write VB codes to check data-integrity for bulkload and to create bulkload-script. It also includes Engineering data/documentation and Cad auditing for Mega-projects like Yansab (visited Stone & Webster, Toronto for auditing Yansab CAD/EDMS).

4. PDS/IDM Administration: PDS2D RDB changes, customization to match Company Standard, trouble-shooting including solving propagation error, users' support to work in IDM, to create reports, data extraction from PDS/IDM to prepare metadata to load in EDMS, database management, report generation and to train Users.

5. CAD/EDMS presentation: Presentation to upgrade existing CAD/EDMS in Sabic Affiliates introducing data management concept instead of only document management, also introducing Plant Information Management concept for new Sabic Projects. I had represented Sabic at "Saudi Aramco Gas Operations Engineering Forum" for a presentation on "Plant Information Management – EDMS".

6. Sabic Technical Information Management System (STIMS): Member of STIMS project, it's about implementing "Plant Information Management" concept for new projects in Sabic Affiliates. It will ensure accuracy, quality and integrity of plant information deliverables from EPCs to Sabic Affiliates' projects which helps to reduce data-handover cost, minimize total cost of plant ownership by increasing productivity, increase overall efficiency of plant operations through effective management of engineering change, help to ensure plant and personnel safety by keeping plant information synchronised and readily available to operation, maintenance, engineering and safety personnel.

7. Windows and database administration / Backup: CAD/EDMS server and workstation configuration as well as administration including engineering software installation, Iplot server/client configuration, to configure backup system, database export for CAD/EDMS and file server using Veritas BackupExec Software / NT-Backup and Exabyte Mammoth2 auto-loader tape-drive to ensure no work or data loss.

8. In-house Software Development in VB/PL-SQL/DCOM using Oracle database for report generation, data/document integration and data import/export.

9. Users' Training: To support and train Designers, CAD Operators and EDMS Users on CAD and EDMS and troubleshooting to their various CAD/EDMS related problems.

Tecnimont ICB (TICB): August'1995 – March'2001

In addition of most of the above activities my job was PDS Administration:

1. PDS Administration: PDS-support to designers/draftsman, RDB changes, database administration, report extraction from PDS, PDS customization as per Clients' requirement, PDS2D/3D data synchronization and other PDS related activities.

2. System Setup: PDS setup in TICB, Mumbai. Starting from Server and Workstations installation, training to the users, PDS customization as per company standard, data transfer and integration between PDS2D and PDS3D, synchronization with Tecnimont-Italy were successfully performed.

3. PDS Coordinator: Coordination with Tecnimont, Italy for PDS jobs and to supervise a group of PDS Operators to assure the job done as per the schedule.

4. Process Experience: Joined Tecnimont, ICB as Process Engineer and at the time of working in process department my job responsibilities were:
~ Decision making on various Process Design Aspects.
~ Generation of Process Engineering documents.
~ Co-ordination with other Engineering Disciplines & Clients.
~ Developing softwares for in-house application such as Pressure drop calculations, pump sizing, Cooling water network pressure drop calculations, Absorber sizing softwares, Thermal design of Heat exchangers, Knock-out drum sizing etc.
~ Preparation of Process Datasheets for equipments, Control valves, Safety valves & other instruments.

EDUCATION B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering (Calcutta University, India) in the year of 1995.

TRAINING

i) Smart Plant – Intergraph: Smart Plant P&ID and Instrumentation ( intools ) Users and Administration training from Intergraph, Saudi Arabia ii) EDMS: Basic & Advanced Administration and Customization – Intergraph AIM EDMS from Intergraph, UAE

iii) PDS: PDS Administration from Rolta, India and in-house training at Tecnimont, Italy.

iv) Visual Basic (DCOM / ASP): from Concourse, Bombay v) Oracle, SQL, PL-SQL: In-house training in TICB for database administration.

vi) NT Administration: In-house training in TICB to install/configure workstation and server, user management, network access, NT backup and troubleshooting.
