Joined as Trainee in 1975 and undergone various basic and advance professional courses and qualified as Mariner/Hydrographic Surveyor. During the tenure most of the time served onboard operational Naval surveying vessels and carried out various minor and major offshore surveys undertaken by the Navy for Deffence, Port Authorities and Govt. Agencies to support Marine Navigation.

Served in Radio Navigation Warnings Department as officer in charge for promulgation of Notices to Mariners a weekly publication With worldwide distribution.
