RAS LAFFAN REFINERY SUPERINTENDENT EQUIPMENT, JULY 2005 – DEC, 2006
QGII LNG Onshore Facilities Project – LNG Gas Trains, (4 & 5 ).

Set up / Establish the Mechanical Equipment Section, (Rotating / Static / Packages).
Working with commitment to Incident and Injury Free Safety Procedures / Legislation, (I I F).
Management of a team of 12 Discipline Engineers, throughout the Construction / Commissioning phases of the project.
Undertake Construction Feasibility and Method Studies. Establish in coordination with the planning section realistic schedules for construction engineering and lifting activities.
Develop temporary facilities, layouts, lay down, traffic and heavy load movement studies to satisfy the construction coordination.
Review Heavy Lift and transportation studies and monitor the works as necessary to ensure that the preparations are completed satisfactory.
The scope of work is generally as identified in the previous Position / description below, (Section Engineer), however, on a larger scale.

Ras Laffan Onshore Expansion Project – LNG Gas Trains, (3 & 4), Acid Gas Injection and AKG –( Ras Gas) – QATAR.

Management, Co-ordination and Supervision of a team of Discipline Engineers, during the Engineering, Construction, Installation, Erection and Pre-commissioning of all Mechanical Equipment associated with a LNG Gas Train. Work areas include - Process, Utilities, (new and existing), Offsite, Off plot.
Responsibilities include:-
In house monitoring on progress and costs. Ensuring that work is completed to programme and within budgets to the required quality standards. Problem solving and reporting to senior management.
Developing and maintaining relationships with Client and Owner through the Construction and Erection Process including:-
Production of:- Schedules and Programmes, Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans etc.
Ongoing review regarding Programmes, Contract Clarifications, Erection Technical Queries etc.
Development of Engineering Systems to monitor and report against the erection programme.
Co-Ordination on interfaces with other disciplines, (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation).
Identification of, Manpower / Resources / Equipment / Materials, Schedules required for the Duration of the Installation.
Management of the Site Health and Safety policies through the erection process, on site.
Experience in Permit to Work Systems, including supervision of manpower in role of Permit Receiver / Owner, (Hot / Cold permits – Existing / New facilities).

Additionally, assisting with the installation of the Sea water Intake Systems, (Both Mechanical and Civil – concrete ductwork and steel / concrete lined pipework).
Responsible for daily 'Problem Solving' with the mechanical subcontractor.
Review and Production of documents relating to:- Method Statements / System Routings / Weld Procedures and Qualifications / Testing / Pre-commissioning / Commissioning Procedures etc).
Ongoing Design modifications to piping systems to ANSI / ASME / BS Codes of practice.
