GSE&C is a South Korea based EPC contractor with international reputation in construction of Refineries, petrochemicals, etc worldwide. The current project I am working with GSE&C is "Sohar Aromatic Project" called SAP where Aromatic Complex is being constructed in Sohar, Sultanate of Oman.
As a Project Engineer, I reported to FPCM (Field Project Control Manager) and are responsible for Document Control, Correspondence control, project coordination, sub-contracting, procurement, TBE & CBE, communicate with client by reports, presentations and meeting etc. Review of drawings, prepare method statements, meeting organizing and presentations. I am actively involved in day-to-day construction activities.

QP Refinery Expansion Project, Qatar
Instrument Supervisor.
GSE&C is a South Korea based EPC contractor with international reputation in construction of Refineries, petrochemicals, etc worldwide. GSE&C constructed new Refinery complex and revamped existing refining facilities located at Mesaieed in State of Qatar. It was a consortium contract of partners M/s. GSE&C and Lurgi. The Refinery complex consists of Crude refinery, condensate refinery, RFCC, Sulphur Recovery Plant, Utility and Tank Farm.
As an Instrument Supervisor, I reported to Instrument Manager at the stage of construction and commissioning. I was responsible for day-to-day construction activities such as Instrument calibration, installation, cabling, termination, QA/QC, loop checking, pre-commissioning, commissioning and logic function testing of field instruments and control systems. I was actively involved in F&G works including field detection devices installation and commissioning and control system configuration and testing. I was holding total responsibility for function testing of Oil Movement and storage and sulphur recovery plant commissioning. I gained thorough knowledge of online modifications of ESD system and F&G systems of Honeywell. I was actively involved in various package PLC's (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi) installation and commissioning and application uploading and downloading. I have thorough knowledge of Metering system and Provers supplied by M/s Emerson Process and Flow computers of M/s OMNI including trouble shooting and configuration and proving of flow meters with compact provers. I have conducted a most challenging responsibility of Site Survey and report preparation of existing F&G and F&F system of QP Refinery including fault finding, recommendations of up gradation, preparation of modification drawings etc.
During the 2 years maintenance warranty period of the project, I was reporting to Maintenance Manager directly. I was involved in day-to-day maintenance activities. During the maintenance period, I gained extensive experience of trouble shooting of field instruments and modification to control system applications of both DCS/SCADA and PLC's.
During the final stage of the project; I was reporting to Project Completion Manager who resides in our Home Office in S. Korea directly as I was assigned as Site Representative of the project. During the final stage, I got opportunity to prove my capabilities besides Instrumentation i.e.; piping, tank construction, documentation, and As-Built. Etc.
