1. Desgin Management:

Working as a Senior HVAC Engineer in Design Management Team for Design Wetting of Central HVAC system of Muscat and Salalah International Airports in Muscat and Salalah, Sultanat of Oman.
Centrla HVAC system comprises of District cooling system with a Total Cooling Capacity of 80MW for Muscat and 6MW for Salalah International Airports.

Cost of Muscat International Airporft = 2198 Million $ ( 839 Million O.R).
Cost of Salalah International Airport = 389 Million $ ( 149 Million O.R)

Responsibilities includes.

- Review and approval of Design works, carried out by Design consultant, inorder to ensure the compliance with scope of work.
- Review of Design Reports, Drawings and specifications incorporating the comments and requirements of the operating entity.
- Ensures that state-of-art technology is applied in the selection of equipement/Packages.
- Ensures cost effective solutions and Value added engineering throughout the project.
- Review/Approval of feasibility studies to determine and implement the type of Air conditioning system such as distributed or central systems with different chiller options for the project.
- Conduct technical workshops with the Design consultants and weekly progress meetings as required by Design Manager.

2. Detailed Design

Worked as a Senior HVAC Engineer, Responsibilities include

- Detailed design of HVAC system of large buildings, preparation of technical specifications, tender documents and detailed design drawings.

- Load calculations using latest Carrier E-20-II software, Duct sizing chilled / condenser water pipe sizing including selection of equipment, preparation of Bill of quantities, Engineer's cost estimates, etc.

Detailed design includes the following major projects:

- Islamabad Stock Exchange building (a multi storied building) at Blue Area, Islamabad with 3 Nos. Direct Gas Fired Absorption Chillers, Total load 1,500 T.R.

- State Life building at Karachi with 3 Nos. Direct Gas Fired Absorption Chillers, Total load 1,200 T.R.

- Makro Cash & Carry wholesale stores at Karachi and Lahore (3 Nos.). A renowned international brand in the area of Cash & Carry wholesales centers.

- The HVAC System comprising of 3 Nos. Direct Gas Fired Absorption Chillers, Total load 400-500 T.R. in each store.

- Chairman Secretariat and Dinning Facilities at Suparco Plant with Roof Top Package Air-conditioning units. Total load 100 T.R.

- Pakistan Atomic Energy Medical Centre at Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre Karachi with Roof Top Package and Split Air conditioning Systems. Total load 324 T.R.

- Diagnostic Centre at Defence Housing Authority, Karachi (A prestigious project of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital) with 1 No. Air cooled Reciprocating Chillers, Total load 100 T.R.

- Air Craft Hangar at Lahore International Airport with Roof Top Package units, Total load 100 T.R.

- Expo Centre Complex at Karachi with 3 Nos. Direct Gas Fired Chillers. Total load 870 T.R.

- Central Board and Revenue building in Karachi with Split type Air conditioning units. Total load 200 T.R.

3. Construction Supervision:

As a Senior Engineer I have been responsible for the detailed construction supervision installation and testing and commissioning of the following prestigious projects:

EXPORT PROMOTION BUREAU BUILDING AT KARACHI – PAKISTAN

Responsible for the installation, testing and commissioning of the HVAC system at Export Promotion Bureau building one of the prestigious project as far as the international exhibitions are concerned.

The HVAC system comprising of 870 T.R. Direct Fired Absorption Chillers, AHUs, Cooling towers, Chilled / condenser water pumps, Expansion tank, Chemical feed system, Building management and control system.

The major assignments included.

- Responsible for checking and approval of material submittals, keeping in view the specifications requirements.

- Responsible for the checking of shop drawings.

- Responsible for the installation of the equipment, ducting, piping including application of insulation.

- Responsible for the complete testing and commissioning including Air / water balancing.

- Responsible for the checking / security of the interim payment certificates as per relevant Bill of quantities.

ALLAMA IQBAL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, LAHORE – PAKISTAN

Reported to Engineer's Representative and worked as a incharge of HVAC works at Allama Iqbal International Airport, one of the most Prestigious Projects in Pakistan.

The cost of Project is over Rs. 10 billion comprising of 2000 tons capacity Air-conditioning system. The major assignments included.

- Responsible for checking and approval of installation work procedures as per relevant standards

- Responsible for supervision of installation of all HVAC equipment including piping/ducting network as well as building management system.

- Checking and approval of testing and commissioning work procedures as well as site tests protocols.

- Responsible for testing and commissioning of all HVAC equipment including water/Air balancing of Constant air volume as well as variable air volume systems.

- Responsible for testing and commissioning of Building management systems including checking of all field devices operations, all kind of interlocks as per controls logic and sequence of operation.

- Responsibilities include checking and approval of materials submittals, responding to contractor queries, and approval of miscellaneous engineering services details.

- Checking and approval of working shop drawings as well as final As-built drawings.

- Checking and approval of operation and maintenance manuals.

- Responsible for Scrutiny and verification of interim payment certificates as per relevant bill of quantities.

- Responsible for changes/clarification of design aspects.

- Correspondence with Contractor and keeping Client well informed with the latest progress of works 'by sending weekly and monthly reports.
