Oversee the Contractor and sub-contractors on the fabrication of the pipe racks and pipe/ancillary equipments fitted to the racks. The eventual aim of which is to provide the pipe racks via barge, for the man-made 'D' Island in the North Caspian which will eventually export oil via Kazakhstan. The work involves ensuring the work is carried out to the project specification and procedures which are to the highest major oil company expectations in the world. Conduct HSE audits, inspections. Carry out daily STOP/ASA Observations. Advise and mentor the Contractor in latest EU/BS and OSHA standards.

Construction of 24 inch gas export pipeline between AMP2 platform offshore and Bonny LNG plant trains 4 and 5, 51 Km's of sub-sea length and 9 Km's onshore. Monitor and advise the Contractor (Stolt) and its subcontractors in all regards of HSE onsite (Onshore). Conduct audits and surveys, monitor the day to day construction activities on site and ensure they followed Total Elf, Shell and Nigerian regulations and procedure.

November 2003 until January 2005 was spent at home in Spain overseeing and participating in the building of my new dream villa on a mountain overlooking Girona in NE Spain.

Oversee Botas (Turkish major) on construction of 1067 KM 36/42/46 inch Gas pipeline as well as 2 Pump transfer stations.
Stationed in the central/Eastern portion of Turkey in Lot B, Sivas-Erzerum (467 Km 42" section) There were 3 Lots A, B, C. In section (B) we had the longest and highest elevation section of pipeline.
My work entailed monitoring, advising, coaching commenting on procedure and method statements as well as auditing and team building between Turkish national and overseas expatriates.
The contract & construction phase of the project was under both UK and Turkish Health & Safety law.

All contracts terminated by high level management of Shell due to Main Contract dispute.

Client HSE Field Advisor for the construction of a 4,000Km 40" Gas pipeline from the Tarim basin to Shanghai.
Lead member for one of six teams consisting of QA/QC, HSE, translator and driver.
Overseeing the work of mainly Chinese contractors for the construction of the world's
Longest gas pipeline. The work entailed monitoring and reporting the performance of pipeline activities to verify that they were in conformance to project design and specifications. Operated in the far Northern region (Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces)

June 2002 Client: British Petroleum/Vastar/OXY USA. SHORT TERM CONTRACT:
HSE Contractor Representative for laying and build of a production platform in the Gulf of Mexico Aboard a 50,000 tonne Deep water construction/heavy lift vessel (DCV) also being upgraded with the 'J Lay system' at that time. To which I was also party to ensure construction met own internal standards.
One of two HSE officers (12 hour shift rotation) on a large crane vessel (DCV Balder) constructing a Truss Spar-based production facility. This included installation of suction piles, Stainless steel wire and pile chain to a depth of 1,650 meters. Responsibility for sea survival and fire fighting equipment maintenance as well as acting as Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO). Conduct pre-flight safety briefings and initial start of work briefing for returning/sub-contracted personnel. Permit to work system advice and monitoring. Conduct JSA's/hazard assessments of work associated with lifting (up to 6,800 tonnes maximum) and oversee scaffold sub-contractors. First and second phase on time and without incident. SOLAS/IMO/MARPOL compliant to US coast guard and international standards.

HSE Client Representative for upgrade of Dukhan gas recycling plant
Clients sole HSE Representative, responsible for overseeing the construction works on a 105Km 14" pipeline from Dukhan to Mesaieed, and the Upgrade of Arab 'D'- gas recycling plant at Dukhan.
Evaluating the contractor's construction safety program. Conduct safety and environmental audits and surveys on a regular basis. Shutdown and tie-in for 60 connections in live plant.
Investigation of all incidents. Appraise and take part in safety training programs. Act as the focal point on all Health, Safety Environmental and waste issues. Ensure compliance of the contractors with Project Specification. Compile Audits and surveys for the construction and pre-commissioning phase. H2 S Trained at QGPC Doha.
Oversee the work at offsite steel, painting, coating, insulation works and fabrication yards near Dukhan.

Senior Client HSE Officer for a US$ 2.5 billion LNG construction project; achieved 15.4 Million man-hours without LTI on site (6,000 men at peak)
Client HSE representative for off-plot areas-jetties, LNG/Condensate tanks, pipelines, buildings, warehouses, sub-stations, flare-stacks, pipe-racks, sea-water intake and outfall units, propane and butane tanks, camps, utilities, medical and welfare, lay-down areas and port operations. Responsible for monitoring the construction works of the main contractor and sub-contractors including the Diving/radiographic/scaffolding/hot-works/critical-lifts/man-basket contractor(s) on a daily basis. Conduct Safety audits and surveys on a weekly/daily basis. Comment on, and amend method statements and Risk Analysis for works. Observe/umpire and comment on all exercises undertaken on site. Deputise for the Shell Safety Manager during his absence as well as the on-plot safety HSE officer during vacation periods. Monitor, advise and help develop and implement the waste and environmental policy. Oversee work at 5 different fabrication yards off-site. Ensure that all Contractors adhere to the Project Specification. Departed only when the start up and pre commissioning teams were signed up and gas was in and plant was live.
