Operations Manager
Worked for an established industrial minerals company supplying magnetite concentrate to the coal preparation industry. Supervised shipments of magnetite by rail to St. Paul to be put on barges for delivery to end users. Suring this time, I coordinated matters between supplier (EVTAC), railroads (DM&IR, UP), barge terminal (DBT), and Alter Barge.

Ran crushing, screening, grinding, and classifying equipment, in production of iron ore coloring pigments. Maintained and repaired all equipment including conveyors, augers, and bucket elevators.

Pit and yard loader operator. Operated and repaired cone crusher, jaw crusher, screens and conveyor systems.

Ran 125,000 tpy abrasives and roofing granules plant. Started with a small portable crushing/screening plant and grew to a fixed two stage crushing/screening operation. I was part of building, operating, and maintaining this plant. Participated in various satellite projects including ship ballasting and site assessments.
Skills Technical screening, sieve analysis, ASTM testing, welding, oxy-acetylene cutting. Experience with jaw, cone, roll, small ballmill, vertical-shaft impact crushers, conveyors, belts, Derrick and other types of screens, as well as air distribution classifiers.
