My main responsibilities include daily direction of the Division insofar as monitoring of works associated with existing contracts, marketing and acquiring new business opportunities. I also conduct corrosion inspections, PMI and NDT processes, techniques and presentation of company abilities and resources through client presentation workshops. I performed daily monitoring of corrosion teams, review reports and activity sheets, waiver applications, method statements, QA/QC procedures and ITP prior to submission to client, implementation of Risk Based Inspection processes and monitoring of same, identification of Risk Based Management through inspection activities to reduce Risk Factors. Our operations also consist of training local trainees in implementation of techniques, applications and standardization programs to aid in the development and the correct method of application.

Responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of Insulation and Protective coatings, corrosion control, CP systems, fireproofing reviews on SHARQ 3rd Expansion Project in Jubail. Monitoring and inspection of piping and equipment packages including Cathodic protection, insulation [hot & cryogenic] activities from fabrication shop and site activities, reviewing of structural steel fire-protection and classification as per hazardous criteria layout data prior to submission to clients. Materials and sub-contractor approvals, technical deviation reviews, concession reviews including issuing of variation instructions. Review of method statements/ITP/QCP and HAZCON prior to commencement of works. General health and safety and environment requirements through programs such as CORE investigation. MARCH 2005 - OCT 2006 INSPECTION SERVICES [SCOTLAND] LTD.
INSPECTION ENGINEER. [Various: UK and Overseas].

Performing Inspections, reviewing needs of operations and maintenance Dept and providing workable directives, PMI inspections, thermal imaging and on-Stream Inspection activities. Reviewing of sub contractor bids to establish assurances of correct interpretation of the actual scope to be undertaken. Provide workable method statements and safety case studies for the project such as Shell FPSO Bonga, Nigeria. Base line survey of entire stainless steel due to material failures from CSCC. Quantification of structural steel and piping survey insofar as works to do and specification violations leading towards completion packages. LPG Storage Facilities, Lloyds of London / QATAR Petroleum/Samsung: carry out inspection on LPG tanks which had signs of condensation and coatings failure using thermal imaging camera to establish and record specific temperatures per location, review coating applications and report findings.

Control, supervision and inspection duties in strict accordance with Shell specifications. Review all Vendors' & Sub-Contactors' method statements and procedures prior to works commencing. Review Bids and Tenders for selection of suitable and competent suppliers. Issuing of site approvals to all Sub-Contractor personnel including applicator and crew supervisor/QC. Monitoring daily activities during the erection and installation of equipment and piping, including field joints, material verification [as per IFC drawings] and red-lining to ensure that the installation, erection and application is in line with project requirements.

JAN 2004 - JULY 2004 SAUDI ARAMCO/WORLEY [PARSONS] ARABIA.
OFFSHORE STRUCTURES AND PIPELINES INSPECTOR.
[offshore Jackets and topside, NPCC yard, UAE.]

Carrying out inspections and monitoring of all daily activities and aid in conducting inspections during the installation of Cathodic Protection systems during the construction of 16 platform Jackets and topsides, and pipeline for sub-sea installation. Vendor inspection duties such as sub-sea flow line FBE works, template and valve unit including seat testing/leak. Verification of design details within current specifications. Top side verification of accommodation and electric module for gas leak testing in line with DNV. Daily monitoring of pipeline fabrication processes including witnessing of FBE application, testing, storage and handling prior to loading to barge. Monitoring of the installation CP Anodes, painting, insulation & fireproofing activities.

Carry out daily supervision and inspection activities from witnessing piping & Secondary pipe supports fabrication shops. Vendors package reviews and approval of new and revised application

MARCH 2002 - SEPT 2003 LLOYDS REGISTER INSPECTION LTD [LRIL], LONDON, ENGLAND.
SUPERVISOR/INSPECTOR. [AMEC, BKW, Saudi Aramco Berri Gas Plant, and Jubail KSA].

This has been by far my most challenging position which included managing 10,000 tons of structural steel and 190,000m2 of pipe work, 61 pressure vessels, both carbon and stainless steel [coated & Cryogenic insulation], monitoring of all aspects of corrosion/cathodic protection/coatings and insulation activities from early works through to completion and commission phase punch lists. This included daily visits to lay down yards and witness of pipeline and random length coatings application, carrying out random inspection and verification of actual application in process and reviewing all paperwork and inspection reports. Duties also included witnessing and inspecting the application of foam glass and vapour barriers material, monitoring of In-tumescent fireproofing [UL-1709] and Refractory application.

MAY 2001 – MARCH 2002 LLOYDS REGISTER INSPECTION LTD, [LRIL] LONDON, ENGLAND.
CORROSION/COATINGS INSPECTOR [THIRD PARTY VENDOR].

My main role was to monitor and witness the fabrication, including coating and insulation applications of 61 insulated pressure vessels which were being constructed on-site. I was also AMEC's focal person for any technical issues related to the design and construction of the vessel. I provided weekly progress reports and quality audits and monitored installation of insulation to vessel, and inspections as per project specifications.
