Conduct a research at Concordia University (Montreal, Canada) to investigate the characteristics of the flow field pattern of Hydrocyclone. Experimentally by using the Laser Doppler Anemometry (LDA), in which a new procedure was presented that used the LDA directly in the curved walls of hydrocyclone without recourse to a flat box or jacket that traditionally used to minimize the refraction effects of laser beams. Flow visualization technique was used to study the flow field pattern and theoretically using the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) technique.
The research was part of thesis work for the degree of Master of Engineering, in the Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering. The Abstract is available upon request. Publishing in progress.
