* Responsible for special inspections on field welding of high rise. Duties include writing reports on welding being performed. Writing NCR's and resolve NCR's when the work was not in compliance. Perform structural steel inspections to verify size, type and placement of structural members using Architectural and Structural Blueprints. Interface with General Contractor and Sub Contractors to correct deficiencies and NCR¡¦s. Prepare deficiency reports and records on incomplete or missing work. Inspect and report on EFIS, Light gauge stud framing using sub contractors approved drawings. Verify material types, sizes and screw installation. Inspect and report on light gauge stud welding and welded attachments to structural steel. Inspect and report on high strength bolting; size, count and joint appearance and torque of bolts. Inspect and report on drill in anchor installations, hole size, depth, embedment and torque. Inspect welded deck and studs for material size and type; verify puddle welds and nelson studs for size, spacing and count.
