GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

* Produce schedule of critical lines as per project requirement.
* Prepare piping stress sketch from isometric and/or general arrangement drawings with all relevant mechanical data information.
* Perform piping stress and vibrant analysis on lines identified in the schedule of critical lines which are attached to pumps, air fin coolers, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, fired heaters and others using CAESAR II taking into account all Codes, Client and Inspection authority requirement.
* Recommend alternative route to resolve stresses within allowable limits of the equipment and to satisfy piping code requirements.
* Perform various types of engineering calculations such as flange leak check, trunnion check and nozzle load evaluation based on the Codes and Standards.
* Perform pipe loading calculation for civil information
* Perform a minimum of visual inspection and check on non-critical lines to ensure that sufficient piping flexibility exists in accordance with the applicable design code.
* Check piping layout if all piping stress analysis requirements are met. Reviews all design information affecting other discipline and/or vendors if properly recorded and promptly transmitted.
* Prepare piping stress packages and documentations for submission to Client.
* Verify line routing and pipe support location through construction site visit observing all rules and regulations inside the refinery.

* Specify usage of special supports/engineered items such as spring hangers and sliding plates.
* Perform design and selection of spring using the PSDesigner and/or WitchHanger.
* Suggest special piping support configuration.

* Prepare and conduct technical training including pipe support selection criteria, principles of pipe stress analysis, pipe loadings and others to Piping Design group and other engineering groups

* Prepare work schedule, man-hour report and conduct weekly meeting for the status of piping stress activities within the project.
* Prepare man-hour planning and budget.
