Current position: Field Engineer (Variable Work Force)

Client: GE Energy (Power Plant Systems Department), Schenectady, NY. USA.
Project: Banshan (3x390MW) & Wangting (2x390MW) Combined cycle power projects, CHINA.

Responsibilities: GE Field Engineer, to supervise the HRSG installations and to coordinate all the HRSG issues between GE & Owner.
(Part time on BOP mechanical activities on GE scope, viz Condenser, piping systems, feed pumps).

(Hangzhou boiler Group (HBG) has supplied HRSG units for both Banshan & Wangting projects, under official license from Nooter/Eriksen, USA).

* Supervise the HRSG construction quality & report to GE/Owner.
* Co-ordinate with HBG & Owner for design issues.
* Review and comment the Non-conformance & Design change notifications.
* Interface with HBG to meet GE specifications for performance criteria.
* Ensure the fabrication & construction follows relevant drawings & Codes.

From February 2000 to November 2004 – Foster Wheeler India Private Limited, Chennai.
Current position: Deputy Manager (Projects & Services)

Project: CSPC Nanhai Petrochemicals Project, Daya Bay, Guangdong Province, CHINA.

Responsibilities: Foster Wheeler site representative, to coordinate the Installation of the Boilers / HRSG.
* Field liaison between client and Foster Wheeler.
* Co-ordinate material delivery to site.
* Technical advise for erection contractor.
* NCR / RFI / DCN coordination.
* Back charge claim management at site.
* Interface with design, project management, Quality & Performance departments and with vendors.
* Daily reports to FW Canada & FWPM China.

Project: PSEG – 600MW Bergen Generating station, Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660
* Trouble shooting piping supports on 2 units of HRSG and restructuring of the structural steel, where required per Foster Wheeler standards. Assist in pre-commissioning activities of the boiler startup.

Project: Linden Generating station, PSEG – 1100MW combined cycle Power plant, Linden, NJ 07036, USA.

Responsibilities: Foster Wheeler Project Engineer at site, to coordinate the Installation of 4 units of HRSG's.
* Ensuring construction of HRSG is per Design drawings, Contractual agreement and Project documents.
* Field supervision, document control, Deviation reporting (DR), Coordination with FW Engg and Project management, Vendor Coordination at site, Client coordination for Inspections and Information's.
* Weekly updating of the (a) DR & EAR status log (b) DR completion & cost log (c) Engg outstanding issues log (d) Request for Information log (RFI) (e) Inspection status matrix (f) self work log for Const progress reports

Project: Outage inspection for 2 X 120 Kg/sec Foster Wheeler CFB boilers at
COCO – Map ta phut cogeneration company, Rayong Province, Thailand.

Responsibilities: Foster Wheeler service engineer supervising the outage inspection activities of the CFB boilers.

* CFB outage inspection planning and schedule preparation for customer approval.
* Check list preparation and advising the customer for proper inventory of refractory materials, lubrication, spares..
* Boiler vacuuming and Non-destructive testing – local contractor coordination.
* CFB refractory inspection, water wall and back pass tubes erosion inspection (by ultrasonic testing) and reports for required correction works.
* Lubrication of rotating parts inspection, per lubrication schedule.
* For screw coolers, coal conveyors, coal feeders, fans, gage glasses, etc.. Maintenance per vendor manual.

Project: 335 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant for PPN Power Generating Company Limited, Tamil Nadu, India

Responsibilities: Foster Wheeler site representative supervising the installation and startup of the Heat Recovery Steam Generator

* Provide technical assistance for boiler erector
* Involved in the startup and commissioning activities, up to commercial operation declaration.
* Planning and expediting of deliveries with suppliers to suit erection schedule
* Weekly progress reporting to head office
* Verify proper installation of all boiler parts per drawings & respective codes
* Field liaison between customer and Foster Wheeler.

December 1998 – November 1999 J&P Zeus Joint Venture, Nicosia, Cyprus

Project: 2 X 130 MW Oil fired Power station for the Electricity Authority of Cyprus
Responsibilities: Site engineer responsible for the installation of pressure piping and auxiliary equipment for two ABB steam turbines.

* Planning and execution of boiler to turbine critical piping
* Site run of small bore piping and glass fibre piping
* Installation of drum screens, cooling water pumps, extraction pumps, boiler feed pumps etc.
* Coordinating the hydrostatic testing and mechanical acceptance of systems with client.

October 1997 to December 1998 - Deutsche Babcock Power Systems Ltd, Chennai, India

Project: 655 MW Dual Fuel Combined Cycle Power Plant for Gujarat Torrent Energy Corp., Gujarat, India

Responsibilities: Site engineer assisting with the installation of 3 Heat Recovery Steam Generators each capable of producing 274 tonnes/hr.
* Planning and erection supervision of pressure part modules
* Installation of piping systems, casings and steel structure
* Coordination with customer of hydrostatic testing and mechanical acceptance of equipment.
* Involved with the pre-commissioning and commissioning of the HRSG and related equipment. (Including acid cleaning of unit and floating of safety valves)
