Camisea Project (Pluspetrol Plant, Perú): As part of the owner engineer group for Pluspetrol I was involved in:

Ethane Recovery Project Conceptual Study where several alternatives were studied and evaluated using Aspen KBASE and in-company cost data.

Malvinas Plant debottlenecking study where the plant off-sites were analyzed and recommendations made to cope with future expansions. Additionally the Slug Catcher was studied to understand current limitations for future expansions.

June 2008 - November 2008
Nitrogen Rejection Unit (NRU). Client: PEMEX. Ciudad Pemex, Tabasco, México:
Two trains of 315 MMSCFD each (Licensor: Costain) at the time the largest installed capacity in world.
Performed Dynamic Simulation (Aspen Hysys Dynamics) to optimize plant control and improve control loops design and tuning. Train # 2 start up: site process engineer during initial start up, covering cool down of plant and liquids generation. Plant operation: Using dynamic simulation and equipment data, plant variables were optimized to prepare the unit for the performance test. Performance Test: Participated in the plant performance test, preparing reports and adjusting design simulations with plant data (The performance test was passed successfully).

December 2007 – January 2008
Camisea Project (Pluspetrol Plant in Cuzco, Perú): Developing of startup procedures, working together with plant operations personnel, for a liquids recovery plant (Depropanizer and DeButanizer).

April 2005 – December 2007
Sulfur Recovery Unit (Petrobras Refinery in Bahia Blanca, Argentina):
Three stage Claus Unit with a BSR-MDEA (WorleyParsons) type tail gas and a DGAASS degassing unit (Goar Allison and Associates) for treating the produced sulphur.
Participated together with SuplhurExperts' technicians and engineers in capacity determination.
Detail engineering, utilities and equipment design. Held P&ID reviews meetings with licensor (Parsons in Arcadia, EEUU). Participated in Hazop meetings with client (Petrobras) and technology licensor (Parsons).
Equipment inspection and pre-commissioning during construction and commissioning of the unit
Start up: As a Process engineer I was in charge of start-up, coordinating tasks between the client and the licensor. Also was in charge of operator training.

April 2005 – December 2006
Sour water stripper (Petrobras Refinery in Bahia Blanca, Argentina) (Project still ongoing): Basic & detail engineering - Equipment inspection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up and troubleshooting - for the unit's revamp (The revamp consisted in turning a non refluxed SWS into a refluxed SWS).

August 2003 – February 2004
Depentanizer Unit (Enap Refinery in Talcahuano, Chile): Detail engineering involving consistency check of basic engineering documentation of a depentanizer unit provided by Axens. P&ID's completion, equipment data sheets, flare system design, utilities design.

* Work at the drilling engineering department, well planning for 100 development wells. Directional and conventional drilling.
* Near horizontal well drill string design.
* Technical limit study for development wells.

* Engineering company specialized in projects for the oil & gas industry.
* Conceptual engineering for surface production facilities (British Petroleum, Argentina).
* Flare stacks & KO drums design.
* Flare system conceptual & basic engineering for the largest refineries in Argentina, located at La Plata (Buenos Aires) and Lujan de Cuyo (Mendoza).
