Project: Construction of a Bitumen Plant in SOYO/ANGOLA.
Contractor: AMAL Construções Metálicas, SA.

Brief description of the project: the project includes the following:
 a 720m bitumen pipeline from the port (quay) to the tanks;
 a bitumen tank farm with 20 tanks of 100m3 capacity;
 a bitumen plant that can process modified bitumen, Emulsion, cut-back and other bitumen derivatives,
 a 100m3 concrete water reservoir;
 a borehole;

Responsibilities: Construction supervision i.e.:
 Ensure that all constructions by the contractor conform to the design, specifications and working drawings; This includes review of shop drawings, regular inspections and approval of material as required;
 Compiling of the monthly and weekly reports;
 Conducting monthly project management meetings (and preparing minutes of the meetings);
 Conducting weekly site meetings (and preparing minutes of the meetings);
 submitting of payment certificates;
 Review all documentation, specifications and drawings and alert the Client, Designers and Contractor of any issues that may cause delays to the program or abortive work;
 From time to time, assist in minor designs and alterations on site as required facilitating the flow of information to the Contractor;
 Quality Control/Quality Assurance;
 HSE (Health, Safety and Environment).
