Duties and Responsibilities:

- Report directly to the operation manager
- Implement safety measure in alignment to prescribe safety procedure
- Conduct tool box meeting to the workers in every shift of work
- Conduct trainings based on EHS training calendar
- Conduct site inspection in all working projects, follow-up and check if safety program/procedure being followed
- Update accident statistics
- Investigate the root cause and contributory factors of accident and give recommendation
- Liaise with departments and clients in controlling the permit to work system
- Ensure company safety programs and procedures properly implemented
- Identify and eliminate hazard on the jobsite and evaluate for remaining risk
- Ensure engineering and administrative control to be applied
- Check PTW for hot work, cold work, confined space entry and etc.
- Ensure worker to wear proper PPE
- Physically separates the worker from the hazard
- Generates applicable corrective actions and ensures completion by the appropriate parties
- Provide first aid
- Prepare reports for accident, incident and near miss
- Check and ensure hazardous materials (flammable, reactive, health & special) are properly separated from the worker
- Ensure the maintenance of a high standard of housekeeping at all times
- Awareness and understanding of all safety rules and regulations in the company
- Read and understand and implement the site Safety Manual and requirements
- Ensure that sub-contractors operate in a safe manner and comply with project safety policy
- Liaise with departments and clients in controlling the permit to work system
- Carry out regular and random inspection on the site and record results
- Maintain the necessary safety related records
- Develop and implement safe system of work for the project in conjunction with the Safety Manager
- Ensure the use and wearing of protective clothing and safety equipment provided
- Ensure the use of the correct tools and equipment for the job
- Coordinate with concerned departments to ensure necessary safety equipment are available
