OMRON CS1 Programmable Controllers communicating with Ethernet interface to the Main Server System used for data handling and control of vehicular movement and weight records. The Linux operating system was used for data access and storing. Automatic Vehicle identification and unmanned weighbridges control via remote I/O system. System was designed for the handling of more than 800 vehicles per day.

Project: De-mineralized Water Treatment Plant Control and SCADA system
Client: ZUARI INDUSTRIES LTD., Goa, INDIA
The system consists of two major subsystems:

OMRON C200HE Programmable Controller with Ethernet interface module used for control.
Intellution Fix32 SCADA software for Windows NT loaded on two Pentium Personal Computers used for Data Acquisition and MMI. The digital inputs and Outputs controlling valves and Motors associated with D.M. water treatment plant vessels and analog inputs for data acquisition are connected to PLC. The PLC was connected to Ethernet Hub, two personnel computers Windows NT workstation Ver.4.0 operating system loaded on it were connected to same Hub. Intellution Fix32 SCADA software was loaded on the two PCs. Omron driver (FINS protocol) was used for communication between PLC and PCs over Ethernet. All inputs and outputs connected to PLC were assigned definite memory addresses inside PLC. These addresses were used in tag database of FIX32 to get status and for use different sub-parts of SCADA like alarm summary, trends, graphic pages, history data. About 155 user-friendly screens were developed for this system to control and monitor the process.

Project: Emergency Shut down System for Urea Plant
Client: INDIAN FARMERS AND FERTILIZERS CO., Bareily, INDIA
The system consisted of two subsystems OMRON C2000H Programmable Controller used for controlling.
Proxima2 SCADA software for OS2 loaded on two Personnel Computers for Data Acquisition and Event Sequence Recording. The 400 digital inputs and Outputs and 48 Analog inputs system designed to take proper action while shut down sequence or other emergencies. Inputs for status Outputs controlling valves and Motors associated with Urea plant and analog inputs for data acquisition were connected to the PLC. Two Personnel Computers with OS2 operating system loaded on it were connected to PLC through Host link card. Proxima/2 software was loaded on these two PCs. Omron host link driver was used for communication between PLC and PCs.

All inputs and outputs connected to PLC were assigned definite memory addresses inside PLC. These addresses were used in tag database of Proxima/2 to get status and for use different sub-parts of SCADA like Event sequence recording, Operator event recording, alarm summary, graphic pages, and history data. About 120 user-friendly screens were developed for this system to control and monitor the process.

FOR NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS:

Project: D2O Vapor Recovery System. MAL /AAL access control system
Client: NUCLEAR POWER CORPORATION LTD.
Plants at Kaiga, Rawatbhata, INDIA
The system consisted of five LC2502 Programmable Controller used to Control the Hard Water Recovery system in Nuclear Plants. The 1000 I/O system controlling five D2O Vapor Recovery Dryers with five programmable controllers to control the operation in Auto/Manual mode was designed and programmed in PLC Statement language to take care of safe sequence start and stop operation. The system / control panel was installed at two plants of NPCIL at Kaiga Atomic Power Plant at Karwar, Karnataka State and Rajasthan Atomic Power Plant at Rawatbhata, Rajasthan State.

FOR CHEMICAL PLANTS:

Project: Rotary Vacuum Dryer Control system
Client: SAUDI FORMALDEHYDE CHEMICAL CO., Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

The System consisted of OMRON redundant C2000H Programmable Controller to control the Rotary Dryer Control used manufacture Para-Formaldehyde under vacuum. Control Panel/Control System was designed to control the sequence of manufacturing of Para-Formaldehyde powder. The 200 I/O systems were programmed according to the critical timings and operations, which plays role to produce good quality product.

FOR PHARMACEUITICAL PLANTS:

Project: Incinerator / Burner Management control System
Client: HOECHST SCHERING AGREVO (I) LTD., Ankaleswar, INDIA
The system consisted of OMRON C200HE Programmable Controller used for controlling of five HSD burners used for Pyrolysis of toxic waste. This System consisted of five PID Temperature Control Loops programmed to control through PLC. The control system was designed for Incinerator plant at Ankleswar, Gujarat State for Pyrolysis of the toxic waste generated in manufacturing of different products of Hoechst Schering Agrevo (I) Ltd. The system of about 250 digital Inputs and Outputs controlling solenoid valves, motors and 16 analog Inputs plus the five PID loops for controlling the temperature with user friendly MMI (NT620 C touch screen) took around eight months for development and commissioning. MMI was flourished with about 55 screens giving information of plant activities and trends. Facility for changing PID parameters for tuning the each loop and online monitoring of system parameters was made available with friendly screens.
Project: Burner Management System for Super Heater
Client: LARSON & TOUBRO LTD., Phulpur, INDIA
The system consisted of OMRON CQM1 Programmable Controller use to control four NAPTHA Burners. The system was installed for IFFCO, Phulpur (U.P.) for controlling the burners used for preheating and desulphurization of NAPTHA used in the process to produce Urea and its bi-products. At operating temperature of 500 degrees centigrade, the system was designed for starting and shut down sequence of four burners. The 100 I/O systems were programmed as to take care of emergencies.

FOR TEA FACTORIES

Projects: 2 Stage, 3 Stage Dryer Panels AND Continuous Fermentation Unit (CFU)
Client: General Design of Control panel For Various Tea Factories.
The system consists of motor control system using PLC and SCADA for monitoring and control of the motor parameters. Variable frequency drives are used for the speed control to achieve the good quality of fermentation and drying of tea leaves. The total process can be monitored on SCADA screens.
