SIMULATION OF VULCANIZATION PROCESS USING FEA CODE - ABAQUS.

Objective - Quantitative determination of cross link density at different parts of the tyre for a given thermal history. Thermocouple study involves the Measuring temperature at various location of the tyre during heating and cooling phase using thermocouples.
Application
* Predict the temperature profile of a Tyre and optimize cure
* Simulate different types of cure and resultant CL density
* Manipulate CL composition for desired component performance

The "Natural Equilibrium Shape Theory", assumes that a meridional profile of a tyre sidewall while it is in the mould should be similar to that in its inflated shape & thereby distributing the sidewall carcass tension and to minimize the strain-energy density at the belt edge.
