PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

1. MUARA TAWAR 5(INDONESIA) Duration: Jan'09 –Sept'09

The MUARA TAWAR 5 consists of a Gas Turbine, a water cooled Generator for the GT, a two casing Steam Turbine, a water cooled Generator for the ST and all auxiliaries to operate plant. The Gross power output of the plant is 242.5 MW with a gross Heat Rate of 6758.3 kJ/kWh.

Key responsibilities:
Implementation and testing of the Water Steam Cycle open loop and closed loop systems like Feed Water tank Temperature Control, Feed Water Tank Level Control, Condensate Level Control, HP/LP Feed Water Pump System, HP/LP Turbine By-Pass, Fuel Gas preheater System, Air Removal System, Clean Drain System etc. in ControCAD.

2. CSS-F GCOM, CSA ATLANTIC PROJECT Duration: Nov'08 to Dec'08

The CSS-F GCOM is from the gateway designed to interface the P320 system with the ABB Gas turbine control system Egatrol. The CSS-F Gcom gateway enables the P320 to receive digital points and analog measurements From the ABB systems, including time-tagged events, and to transmit digital commands and set point commands to the ABB systems. The project was the first in its kind because it focused on minimum communication with the ABB control system Egatrol.
Role:
Undergone 3 weeks of on job training in ABB Baden (Switzerland) on CSS-F GCOM HMI Engineering along with External FAT.

Responsibilities:
* Designing of Dynamic objects considering Inputs coming from ABB ADVANT EGATROL System through GCOM.
* Designing of truth tables and full HMI Engineering based on Inputs coming from ABB ADVANT EGATROL System through GCOM and the commands going from ASPA to ABB ADVANT.
* Testing of the created ALSPA Dynamic Objects with ABB ADVANT.
* Updating GCOM signal list of controlled objects.
* Loading of CSS-F with ALSPA.
* Preparation for External FAT and completion of Successful FAT with customer in ABB Baden (Switzerland).

3. GTX COGENERATION PROJECT Duration: Dec'07 to Oct'08

The GTX Cogeneration project is an ALSTOM Turnkey Combined Cycle based on one GT 13E2 Gas Turbines, one Heat Recovery and Steam Generator (HRSG) and associated interconnection with existing steam network of Condor(CCP16,18), Kestrel(CCP 20) and desalination plant. The global power output will be of 146,48 MW.

Role:
HMI (DB) and Graphics part of the project. Implementation and testing of Automatic Generation control, HRSG Sequencer and Unit Master Sequencer.

DCS Responsibilities
* Creation of Logics and Testing of HRSG Sequencer, Automatic Generation Control & Unit Master Sequencer.
* Implementation of Logic in the ControCAD according to Process Functional Plans (PFuPs).
* Creation of Mimics (graphics) from P&ID using Controcad and uploading them to Centralog.
* Views creation (mimics, extended & windows) in View tree, creation and implementation of static and dynamic drawings.
* Version instrumentation, trouble shooting and subsequent loading of views in Centralog.
* Creation of GT Interface Variable list with Egatrol system (ABB GT Automation System).
* Designing of GTX, Kestrel and Condor Network Termination Details using AutoCAD.
* Creation of Common Mimics (Mimics common for all three plants GTX, KESTREL, CONDOR).
* Documentation of HMI Logs, Graphs and MIMICS.
* Creation of input/output variables in the ControCAD as well as in I/O Management file according to the I/O list and updating I/O list with new variables if required Involved in Preparation of Mimics using CENTRALOG HMI tool.
* Modification in the existing Mimics of Kestrel and Condor due to GTX extension.
* Preparation for External FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) in Massy (France).

4. CONDOR UPGRADATION PROJECT Duration: Oct'07 to Oct'08

The CONDOR Upgradation Project is an ALSTOM Turnkey combined cycle based on four Gas Turbine, four HRSG and two Stream Turbine. The global power output will be of 14,648 MW.
Role:
To Upgrade HMI, Graphics and create document for HMI with reference of ALSPA P320 Series4 to ALSPA P320 Series5 along with External FAT.

PRACTICAL TRAINING

Undergone training on ALSPA P320 system at APIL, Delhi, which includes
* Hardware structure definition in Alspa P320 s/w.
* Use of libraries- system and business, Creation of MVM's & SVM's.
* Definitions and use of: PFUP functions, Function diagrams, owners, closed loops and open loop functions.

HMIDB
* Views creation -(mimics, extended & windows)
* In-house training of wiring schedule for ALSPA DCS system with Marshalling and Local Junction boxes.
* External Training at Dadri Power Plant and Badarpur Power Plant for Thermal & CCPP Processes.
