A highly motivated and resourceful Engineer / Supervisor with experience in the Oil Industry with international companies in construction, maintenance and operations for the upstream sector. Experience with tank farm terminal and pipeline construction along with the interpretation and application of industry Codes & standards, company specifications, applicable design criteria and safety and environment standards. Experience with plant maintenance and maintenance planning. Experience with heavy crude oil dehydration plant and well pads operation with electric submersible pumps. Experience in managing budgets, contracts and schedules, supervising engineering and supervision staff, communicating and working with project teams which include interfacing with clients, management, operations, engineering disciplines, construction, sub-contractors, vendors and government agencies including plant precommissioning certification, with experience in the implementation of ISO 9000 and 14001. Equipment Surveyor (August 2004 – Present)
Working for OCP (Heavy Crude Oil Pipeline) Ecuador during the operations phase; surveying all heavy equipment installed in two pumping stations, including twelve 4.5MW pumping units and three 2.2MW power generation units all Wartsila, plus valves, instrumentation, tanks, vessels, heaters, etc. This work is for the computerized maintenance system based on J.D.Edwards and includes locating and tagging all system-registered components (over 2,000 items) and registering the rest in the system for future maintenance orders.
Urazul – Block 14 &17 Orient Basin, Ecuador
Mechanical Supervisor (November 2003 – May 2004)
Pipeline construction supervisor representing Encana of Ecuador for the construction of several API 5L pipeline segments ranging from 6” to 16” dia. and from 2,5 km to 15 km long, under API standard 1104 and ASME B31.4. Duties include welding inspection, welder qualification, visual testing, radiographic interpretation, hydrostatic tests, ROW opening, lowering-in and filling operations.
Facilities construction supervisor directly supervising the construction of new oil production facilities (No subcontractor). Duties include assembly of facilities, welding inspection, writing of welding procedure specifications, procedure qualification record performance, and welder qualification under ASME Section IX and API 1104. QA/QC supervisor for all mechanical construction activities, including welding, coating and assembly.

Marine Terminal and Interconnection Pipeline Field Engineer (February 2002—August 2003)
Working for the construction of OCP (Heavy Crude Oil Pipeline) Ecuador (US$1.5 billion project). Reporting to the Construction Manager of the Marine Terminal, in charge of monitoring the construction work of EPC Contractor Techint Int. Cons. Corp. as part of the construction management team, for the construction of a US$76.3 million API 650 tank farm and ancillary facilities comprising 5@750,000 bbl tanks plus 7 km of 56” API 5L X70 interconnection pipeline from Terminal to shore. Responsibilities include site construction inspection in all areas, i.e. civil, welding, painting, electrical and instrumentation, code and engineering support to inspection team, e.g. API 650, ASME V, ASME IX, ACI, ANSI B31.4, API 1104, progress analysis and preparation of reports, analysis of process suggested field changes and review of submitted pay items, providing liaison with the main office engineering group on all pertinent design and construction issues. Duties include auditing the EPC Contractor as Quality Assurance representative on site.
