Main project features: Motorway junction improvement scheme between the M40 and the A404 at Handy Cross near High Wycombe. This ECI scheme involved the construction of a new connecting road, additional lanes and a new five lane "cross link" between the M40 and the A404 south of the junction. Scheme cost £25 million.
Activities performed: Managed consultants, contractor, contractor's designer to prepare the design, cost related matters, public consultation, liaison and site supervision.

2.A27 Chichester Bypass and Area Improvements
Year: 2003-2005
Location: UK, Client: Department for Transport/West Sussex County Council
Activities performed: Managed consultants in partnership with West Sussex County Council, to produce a series of junction improvements to increase capacity at bottlenecks on the A27. Managed public consultation exercise and reported results to Minister. Estimated scheme cost £80 million.

3. A2/A282 Dartford Improvement
Year: 2001-2004
Location: UK, Client: Department for Transport
Main project features: Motorway junction improvement scheme at Junction 2 on the M25 London orbital motorway. Also widening of the A2 from three lanes to four lanes for a distance of 2 kilometres.

Activities performed: Scheme of national and international importance valued at £120 million. Responsible for managing the team of consultants to prepare the design, Environmental Statement and Scheme Orders to correct standards. Successfully defended Scheme Orders and Environmental Statement as Government's Chief Witness at Public Inquiry in 2003.

4. M20 Junction 10 Interim Scheme

Location: UK, Client: Department for Transport
Main project features: Motorway junction improvement scheme at Junction 10 on the M20. Scheme to provide additional capacity by widening overbridges and slip roads. £15 million scheme funded by developers under s.278 in Ashford.
Activities performed: Planned and managed the design and site supervision of the improvements in partnership with local authorities Ashford Borough Council and Kent County Council.

5. M20 Junction 10A
Year: 2002-2005
Location: UK, Client: Department for Transport
Main project features: A completely new grade separated motorway junction south of the existing junction.
Activities performed: Managed consultants to prepare designs sufficiently to take the scheme to public consultation. The scheme is valued at £67 million and is in the Government's Targeted Programme of Improvements.

6. A3 Thursley Junction Improvement
Year: 2003-2004
Location: UK, Client: Department for Transport
Main project features: A completely new grade separated junction over trunk road of motorway standard.
Activities performed: Highways Agency's resident engineer on site with the contractor. Held frequent meetings to ensure work remained on schedule and key milestones met. Responsible for ensuring invoices checked and paid on time. Scheme cost £7m and completed 3 months ahead of schedule and within budget.

7. A249 Iwade to Queenborough
Year: 2001
Location: UK, Client: Department for Transport
Main project features: 10 km of new dual carriageway trunk road and new bridge over Swale estuary.
Activities performed: Design, Build Finance and Operate (DBFO) scheme. Chaired steering group meetings with consultants, financial and legal teams and oversaw preparation of detailed design and the DBFO procurement process. Scheme cost £100m.
