General responsibilities
* Audit the Work of all subcontractors and departments at stipulated intervals.
* Leading the inspection and execution of work in Mechanical, Welding, with team of QA/QC technical assistants following an approved Inspection and Test Plan.
* Interpreting RT films, preparing report and specifying repair procedures.

* Performing activities like Welder's Qualification Tests, Destructive testing, NDE etc.
* Ensure all the instruments are calibrated and re-calibrate before the due date.
* Lay down guidelines and solutions for day to day production related problems.
* Conduct management review meetings to inform the management about the quality of work and resources required.
* Coordinate inspection activities at Subcontractor's premises with inspectors / Third Party agencies.
* Conduct and Participate in Internal Quality Audits as per ISO requirements.
* Monitor the closure of all Non-conformance reports (NCR'S) to ensure the compliance with Preventive action proposed.
* Conduct feasibility study for new enquiries and define technical specifications of equipments required, WPS and describe the scope of work.
* Monitor heat treatment activities and decide the most suitable heat treatment procedure to meet customer specification.
* Conduct audit at the vendors and Subcontractor sites on random basis.
* Make sure that the latest revision of drawings and Specifications are used.
* Prepare documents to streamline the quality management system and check the compliance of activities as per ISO: 9001.
* Conduct and coordinate regular trainings to keep the workforce aware about the customer requirements.

2006-2007
Worked as QA/QC engineer in Reliance Refinery Expansion Project (JERP) employed by L&T ECC Division in which Bechtel is the EPC management contractor. In total, the project cost around $5.7 billion employing more than 90,000 people during construction, fabrication and installation of 109,170 metric tons of steel, about five million meters of varied size pipe, more than 4000 pieces of major equipment, and more than 110,000 isometrics
* Implicated in Coker Unit for the inspection of quality spearheading the team for swift completion of the project by May 2008. It involved AG, UG, Structural Tanks, Refractory and Exchangers Inspection for Quality as per Inspection and Test plan (ITP) and Bechtel France Specification

General responsibilities
* Monitor the 'Quality of Work' of all subcontractors.
* Supervising the execution of work in Mechanical, Welding (Piping & Storage Tanks), Painting, with a dedicated team of QA/QC technical assistants with Project Quality Plan.
* Verification of Tie-in / Hot Tap Tie-in works
* Verification of Hydro test packages / Mechanical completion Package / Inspection Record Books
* Conducting the activities like Welder's Qualification Tests, hydro testing, pneumatic testing etc.
* Monitor the Inspection and Test Status of construction activities of all Disciplines.
* Prepare Quality plan, Inspection Test Plan, WPS, PQR and WPQR as per client requirements.
* Monitor the Calibration of Inspection and Measuring Equipments.
* Guiding and trouble shooting day to day construction problems.
* Appraise the Client about the Quality of work with statistics.
* Monitor the inspection activities at vendor's premises with inspectors / Third Party agencies.
* Inspections of piping material identification as per Isometric drawings/ Material take off, before fabrication and co-coordinating with PMI Crew members.
* Follow up of all Non-conformance reports (NCR'S) to ensure closure.
* Resolving technical Queries with project management team (PMT) on daily basis.
* Coordinate with client's project inspection unit for necessary project inspection for witnessing/ hold points.

As a QA/QC Welding Inspector/Engineer
* Checking that the welding procedure to be used are approved and duly qualified as required.
* Verifying that the welders are qualified to the approved project WPS. Checking that only approved electrodes, filler wire, flux and gas are used.
* Supervision of the welding activities, checking in particular the adequacy of joints preparation, protection and provision in case of rain, wind, low temperature, etc.
* Inspection of welds, visual examination and test are carried out and documentation in accordance with "ITP" for site activities, verifying the inspection record and validating the relevant result.
* All the NDT offerings with respect to the material wise and Tie-in requirements and its interpretation of test results
* Checking the adequacy of equipment for pre-heating, welding, heat treatments and weld examination.
* Monitoring the performance and capability of each welder on the basis of radiograph inspection/test. Review of all procedure & other doc related in mechanical Welding/NDE aspect.
* Checking heat treatments for PWHT diagrams. Checking the correct measurements of hardness, when required, and the acceptability of the result.
* Filling/documentation and retaining of all NDT reports, heat treatments report and inspection reports. Informing QC Manager regarding the problems which require their decision. Checking welding parameters as per WPS required.
* Verifying the adequacy of the Quality Control Procedure. Checking that inspections and test are carried out and documented in accordance with the approved procedure and quality plans. Documentation/filling of all piping inspections records.
* Review of test packages clearance/ punch listing as per project specification as per system before hydrostatic testing prior to pre-commissioning. Assisting of commissioning works as per plant activities. I am trained by the Company for Minimizing the repair percentage and Rework.
* Inspection of piping pre-fabrication/erection as per ITP. Dimensional checking of piping as per approved isometric drawings. Line checking of piping, review of test packages, punch list carried out conforming to ISO, P&ID and project specification prior to test.
* Checking heat number on required piping traceability. Checking of pipe support pre-fabrication as per approved construction detail drawings. Checking of piping materials as per piping materials specification (PMS).
* Prepare punch list records to monitor the progress of works inclusive of balance of joints for testing. Prepare non-conformance reports for discrepancies encountered during inspection and as per project specifications. Updating QC documentation reports for filling. Reporting to QC Manager to discuss problems during inspection/surveillance.
* Responsible to review plan drawings to P&I Diagrams to prepare isometric drawing, material take-off, check material to be used as per specification and engineering standards. Supervise sub-contractor in fabrication and installation of pipe spools and pipe supports to assure quality.
