Citgo - entailed two different projects.
„X FEED and ULSD (Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel) Modification Project ¡V involved product tankage and handling, refinery flare, cooling water, air, raw water supply, water treatment and other utilities. This project was in excess of a billion dollars, and was considered one of the largest projects Mustang has ever attempted.
„X Improved Crude Desalting Project - approximately 27 million dollars. The object of this particular project was to increase the performance of refinery operations improving crude desalting performance, which would improve energy efficiency, reducing maintenance costs, and equipment reliability. My responsibilities included the management of cost control and oversight of schedules.
Both projects involved forecasting, budgets for all disciplines, value engineering log, project status report, needs lists, progress reporting and maintenance of all trends.

Project Controls Manager
„X NGL Consolidation Project - Conoco-Phillips (COP) - $700 million dollars. The objective of the project was to optimize the processing scheme for all naphtha and lighter components. This process optimization effort significantly reduces utility requirements, reduces process complexity, increases overall gasoline octane, improves C7 solvent product quality and rate, and reduces the benzene in gasoline. Additionally the reduction in steam consumption will improve the reliability of the refinery's steam system.
„X Responsibilities included project cost to include budgets, estimates, PM+ and scheduling activities.

„X Prepared initial planning/scheduling for the installation of two new emulsion polymer/systems reactor trains, miscellaneous equipment, utilities and process structures.
„X Worked initial strategy for definition of scope, identified design, procurement, and delivery plan for the project.
„X Assisted in the development of team alignment by conducting interactive scheduling meetings, coordinated with disciplinary teams and assured the appropriate processes to formulate the project from an inception to completion target date.

06/87 ¡V 08/01 BGP/Belcan Engineering - Cincinnati, Ohio
Senior Project Manager/Construction Site Leader (Contract basis through Proctor & Gamble Co.)
* Managed a $165 million dollar domestic/International project in Germany, England, and Italy. This complex project consisted of a new building, installation and relocation of complex components such as lane diverters, case-packers and modifications for new indexers in both Europe and North America.
* Developed inception and completion plan to include scope definition, procurement, purchasing, schedule, design, construction, and start-up strategy.
* Coordination was difficult, as equipment was being fabricated in Europe and customs presented a challenge due to the marketing window established that was critical to have the product in the stores.
* Duties included daily construction meeting's, status updates from Europe on delivery and installation needs, design changes, number of potential change orders, statistical cost information, critical to success.
* Coordination and constant negotiations with European vendors as it related to pricing, discounts and delivery. Interfaced a great deal with the Project Manager and Vice President, providing continuous updates.
* Worked extremely close with my design team to assure all drawings were released in a timely fashion in an effort to allow the European vendors the ability to fabricate the equipment without any delay on the part of North America.
* The project itself not only came in on time, on schedule, but was also under cost.
