07/04 to 09/04 Day Zimmermann (NPS) Columbia Generating Station, Richland, WA Mechanical Superintendent Facility consists of one General Electric 1107 MW BWR, Responsibilities included Security upgrade planning, scheduling and execution. New fencing, vehicle barriers and IDS system. Duties also included the relocation of the vehicle trap without interruption of traffic or violation of security zones.

01/04 to 05/04 Day Zimmermann (NPS) Vermont Yankee Nuclear Plant, Vernon, VT Mechanical Superintendent Facility consists of one General Electric 510 MW BWR. Feedwater Heater Replacement Responsibilities included planning, scheduling, purchasing and pre-outage fabrication activities. Duties also included Heavy rigging of FW Heaters, demolition of piping and interferences, installation of new heaters and piping. Replacement of four Cross Around Relief Valves and discharge piping, all as part of 20% upgrade.

09/03 to 11/22 Day Zimmermann (NPS) D. C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Bridgman, MI Mechanical/Civil Superintendent Facility consists of two Westinghouse 1100 MW PWRs During this refueling outage Responsibilities included Installation of multi disc screens in the intake structure, RCP motor oil drip pan removal/installation, containment cooling coil change out and housing repair. Duties also included Reactor disassembly/reassembly, Condenser and feed water heater disassembly, repair and reassembly. Coatings through out containment and other buildings were also included.

03/03 to 05/03 Day Zimmermann-NPS Monticello Nuclear Power Plant, Monticello, MN Civil Superintendent. Facility consists of one General Electric 600 MW BWR. Coordinate support activities during a refueling outage. Responsibilities included erection and removal of scaffold, fire watching, escort of non badged vendors, tube cleaning of main condensers and other heat exchangers, diver support Torus and Intake areas, assist with CRD moves, clean tape and residue from s/s piping under vessel, support activities on the refuel floor and remove truck loads of silt and sand from cooling return lines. Duties also included Asbestos abatement, insulation removal/reinstallation, painting activities, hydro laze piping where needed to clear blockage.

09/02 to 03/03 Day Zimmermann-NPS Davis Besse Nuclear Plant, Oak Harbor, OH Mechanical Superintendent. Facility consists of one Babcock and Wilcox 960 MW PWR. Performing restart activities after the NRC had shut the plant down. Responsibilities included reassembly of the reactor and components after the Rx head replacement. Disassemble/reassemble, rig, heavy lifts, transport, reactor coolant pumps and motors. Retube in place a high pressure feedwater heater.
Duties also included Service water piping replacement in the containment and the Turbine Buildings.

06/01 to 04/02 Foster Wheeler Corporation Cinergy Gibson Generating Station, Owensville, IN
Mechanical Superintendent. Facility consists of five 650 MW coal-fired units. Constructing and
Installing the Selective Catalytic Reactors (SCR). Responsibilities included receive, store, maintain and install all mechanical equipment for the SCR Project. Demolition of existing equipment where needed for upgrading. Duties also included fabrication/assembly of ID Fans, modifications to horizontal air heaters, ammonia system installation and heavy rigging.

02/01 to 05/01 Parsons Energy & Chemicals Group Inc. Harrison Power Station, Haywood, WV
Mechanical Superintendent. Facility consists of three 640 MW bituminous coal – fired units.
Constructed the Selective Catalytic Reactor (SCR). Responsibilities included monitored and advised the installation contractor while constructing flue gas dampers, duct, associated hardware and ID Fans and their auxiliary components. Approve necessary changes and insure all safety rules are followed including any plant specific items that Allegheny Power has in effect. Duties also included quality control, receiving of materials and insuring schedule compliance.

06/00 to 11/00 Day Zimmermann (NPS) D. C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Bridgman, MI Mechanical/Civil Superintendent Facility consists of two Westinghouse 1100 MW PWRs of which Unit # 2 is operating while Unit # 1 restart activities are taking place. Responsibilities included scaffold erection and tear down, fire watch, cleaning activities, transport of personnel, material and equipment. Duties also included foreign material exclusion monitoring for the Ice Condenser and the Reactor Cavity during refueling. Designated the responsible person for rigging activities.

4/99 to 3/00 Raytheon Umatilla Chemical Depot, Hermiston, OR Mechanical Supervisor Facility consists of furnaces, conveyors and various other equipment to dispose of chemical weapons. Responsibilities included furnace assembly, duct installation, piping erection and requisitioning material from a remote warehouse to keep the work on schedule and in proper sequence. Duties also included conveyor installation, assembly and alignment, pump alignment and monorail installation.

3/99 to 4/99 NISCO D. C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Bridgman, MI Work Package Planner Facility consists of two Westinghouse 1100 MW PWRs both of which are defueled due to NRC concerns Responsibilities included constructing work packages being sure to address all safety and quality issues for each job in the work package.

2/96 to 2/99 DOMCO Azrock Tile, Houston, TX Maintenance Supervisor Facility consists of three vinyl tile manufacturing lines. One line consisted of raw materials handling, mixer, conveyors, mills, calendars, press, heating and cooling systems and packaging equipment. Responsibilities included the supervision of a pipefitter, two electricians and eight mechanics during maintenance and repair of equipment to keep these tile lines running. Duties also included Construction Management when the third production line was being installed.

9/95 to 12/95 Raytheon Port Saint Lucie Nuclear Station, Port Saint Lucie, FL Mechanical Supervisor Facility consists of two Combustion Engineers 850 MW PWRs Responsibilities included retubing of two component cooling water heat exchangers and demolition of old and installation of new fuel oil piping to the Emergency Diesel Generators. Duties also included normal maintenance activities, valve repair and ISI/Erosion Corrosion mapping.

7/95 to 8/95 Raytheon D. C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Bridgman, MI Civil Supervisor Facility consists of two Westinghouse 1100 MW PWRs Responsibilities included Supervision of the following craft during a refueling outage, Ironworkers, Teamsters and Operating Engineers. Because of transformer replacement work, precise coordination was needed for the refuel activities. Duties also included rigging supervisor and transport of all materials coming in or out of the plant.

9/94 to 7/95 Raytheon Reynolds Wheels International, Beloit, WI Mechanical Superintendent Facility consists of four buildings with an area of 11 acres under roof including a foundry, casting area, NDE & heat treatment area, machining area, painting area and offices. The process starts with aluminum ingots melted in the tilting furnaces and the end product is aluminum automobile wheels. Responsibilities included Demolition of existing facilities to allow for the new construction, set furnaces, casters, compressors, conveyors and machining equipment. Installed pipe for all systems. Coordinate between engineering, city of Beloit, construction and plant personnel to bring the project in on time and under budget. Duties also included removal of old and installation of new roof top air conditioning units, flushing of all Firemain and Sprinkler Systems and upgraded to meet the insurance requirements and installation of new water and sewer system much of which was underground. Increased the natural gas line size to 6" from the supply to the furnaces, which were at opposite ends of the building. Coordinated with the roofing contractor for the repair of roofing.

7/92 to 8/94 Raytheon Harrison Power Station, Haywood, WV. Mechanical Supervisor Facility consists of three 640 MW bituminous coal – fired units. The project at hand is the installation of an SO2 Removal System. Responsibilities included monitor, assist and direct contractor installing flue liners in a new chimney 1,000' in height. Each of the three flue liners are 26' in diameter. Erection of the three absorber vessels, building and associated equipment and piping. Duties also included the erection of sixteen tanks, agitators, platforms and associated piping. Coordination was very important due to the small amount of real estate, large amount of work and numerous contractors all trying to get their part completed. Safety was considered the highest priority.

11/91 to 6/92 Raytheon Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Hancock's Bridge, NJ Installation Engineer Facility consists of two Westinghouse 1100 MW PWRs Responsibilities included planning, scheduling, and replacement of all 10" Service Water piping in both Containment buildings during back to back outages. Duties also included coating of the tube sheet and the head of coolers in the Auxiliary building.

7/91 to 11/91 Raytheon Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Delta, PA Mechanical Supervisor Facility consists of two General Electric 1100 MW BWRs Responsibilities included various piping modifications and repairs during a refueling outage. Duties also included equipment and duct modifications.

3/91 to 5/91 Raytheon E. I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Baxley, GA Mechanical/Civil Supervisor Facility consists of two General Electric 800 MW BWRs Responsibilities included support of General Electric refurbishment of control rod drives and several piping modifications. Duties also included decontamination (support ALARA) and cleanup through out the unit during refueling.

1/91 to 2/91 Raytheon Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Delta, PA Mechanical Supervisor Facility consists of two General Electric 1100 MW BWRs Responsibilities included fabrication and installation of two fire protection modifications. Tie in of the modifications required three freeze seals of the firemain. Duties also included interaction with engineering, quality control, operations, other crafts and outside vendors.

5/90 to 12/90 Raytheon D. C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Bridgman, MI Mechanical Supervisor Facility consists of two Westinghouse 1100 MW PWRs Responsibilities included being seconded to the client to oversee mechanical modifications and maintenance during back-to-back outages. Duties also included several piping modifications.

7/89 to 5/90 Raytheon Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Delta, PA Mechanical Supervisor Facility consists of two General Electric 1100 MW BWRs Responsibilities included fabrication and installation of pipe and duct supports in the Unit # 3 drywell. Reinstall HVAC duct after recirc pipe replacement. Duties also included fabrication and installation of piping modifications.

1/89 to 6/89 Raytheon D. C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Bridgman, MI Mechanical Supervisor Facility consists of two Westinghouse 1100 MW PWRs Responsibilities included fabrication and installation of seismic pipe supports, replaced sections of CS Bleed Steam piping with SS pipe and cleaned and repaired the Component Cooling Water Heat Exchangers. Duties also included assisting with hot measurements and shimming of the Steam Generators after replacement. Replaced the generator rotor of an Emergency Diesel Generator.

7/88 to 12/88 Raytheon Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station, Forked River, NJ Mechanical Supervisor Facility consists of one General Electric 600 MW BWR Responsibilities included rebuild of a ten stage Reactor Water Cleanup Pump, replacement of a Chemical Waste Dewatering Filter, Waste Evaporator System modifications, limitorque valve operator replacements and Reactor Safety Valve removal and reinstallation. Duties also included installation of the Control Room HVAC Unit.

5/88 to 7/88 Raytheon D. C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Bridgman, MI Mechanical/Civil Supervisor Facility consists of two Westinghouse 1100 MW PWRs Responsibilities included removal of interference for the Steam Generator Replacement. Duties also included excavation and disposal of fuel oil contaminated soil near the Lake Michigan shore.

12/87 to 4/88 Raytheon E. I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Baxley, GA Civil Supervisor Facility consists of two General Electric 800 MW BWRs Responsibilities included support Refueling activities on the refuel floor, decontamination through out the plant to support ALARA. Duties also included building and grounds maintenance during the refueling outage.

8/87 to 11/87 Raytheon Susquehanna Nuclear Generating Station, Berwick, PA Civil Supervisor Facility consists of two General Electric 1100 MW BWRs Responsibilities included installation of fire barrier material to cable tray, and conduit for appendix "R" and removal/reinstallation of insulation as needed for maintenance. Duties also included installation of BISCO penetration seals.

6/81 to 7/87 Raytheon Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Glen Rose, TX Area Manager, Group Leader of Special Projects and Systems Completions Engineer Facility consists of two Westinghouse 1150 MW PWRs Responsibilities included installing insulation, painting, snubber installation, room completion, building completion, system completions and verification walkdowns. Duties also included the replacement of the Unit # 2 Diesel Generator auxiliary skids.

6/80 to 5/81 Raytheon Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Hancock's Bridge, NJ Mechanical/Civil Superintendent Facility consists of two Westinghouse 1100 MW PWRs Responsibilities included installation of fire barrier material on cable tray, conduit and fire dampers through out both units. Replaced the Waste Evaporator and increased the spent fuel capacity. Duties also included the up grading of pipe supports and the addition of the Reactor Head Vent Piping per TMI Modifications.

10/79 to 5/80 Power Systems Clinton Nuclear Power Station, Clinton, IL Mechanical Superintendent Facility consists of one General Electric 900 MW BWR Responsibilities included installation/erection of the main condenser, feedwater heaters, cooling water heat exchanger and several tanks and vessels. Duties also included erection of monorails.

5/77 to 9/79 Raytheon WPPSS # 1 & 4 Richland, WA Preventive Maintenance Engineering and Technical Supervisor Facility consists of two Babcock & Wlilcox 1100 MW PWRs Responsibilities included preventative maintenance and storage for all permanent plant equipment Duties also included changing the maintenance system from a manual to a computerized system.

8/76 to 4/77 NISCO Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Hancock's Bridge, NJ Field Supervisor Facility consists of two Westinghouse 1100 MW PWRs Responsibilities included completion of paint and insulation activities (punch list items from construction), repair of a Waste Hold Up tank, replacement of a Reactor Coolant Pump motor and repacking of every valve in Unit # 1 Containment. Duties also included several piping modifications, Circulating Water Pump repair and extensive excavation work.
