Responsibilities included: Review of contractors QA/QC program and personnel for project approval, monitoring of contractors personnel for compliance to Saudi Aramco's procedures, testing of all welders to ASME Sec IX and AWS D1.1 using multiple weld processes, supervise NDE crews performing (PT, MT, UT, RT & PMIs), review and approval of modifications and as-builts, review and approval of construction completion packages for hydrostatic and pneumatic tests, performed walk downs, punch listing and assembled mechanical completion packages for completed facilities. Verified pump, motor, and compressor alignments. Inspected all phases of Hot-tap installations for modifications and tie-in to existing facilities.
From Feb - Oct 2001, PID Welding Supervisor for the Refinery Remediation Project. Responsibilities: Control of all piping and welding rework in the Hydrocracker, Visbreaker, Hydrogen and Amine units. QA/QC liaison for construction activities of operations, maintenance and sub-contractors. Supervised crews performing NDE and stress relief activities. Reviewed and approved packages for modifications to tanks and vessels as per API-510 & 653 requirements.

Member of the time study group for the Unit 2 Restart Modifications. Responsibilities: Review and audit of the mechanical sub-contractors schedules and plans. Assisted in creating graphics for submittal to the client, (charts, histograms, etc.) to determine project progress. Performed field audits of work in progress to provide the client with information to improve performance.

March 98 – May 98 / MQS Inspection Services / Transamerica Refinery
Mechanical, Piping & Welding and Electrical Inspector. Contracted to support the restart of a mothballed refinery. Duties included: pipe inspection and walk downs, hangers and supports, as-built drawings of existing systems. Performed UT measurements of installed piping for minimum pipe wall calculations. During the months of April and May my assignment was to inspect all pumps, motors and compressors installed in the DHT and NHT units. Inspected installation to project requirements, (baseplates, grouting, pipe loading, alignments) and operations.
Verified heater and boiler modifications to ASME and API code requirements.
