EXPLANATION
Energy Products of Idaho, Coeur d Alene, Idaho… (Oct. '05 to Nov. '07)
This company manufactures 'fluidized bed' combustors, used in 'alternative fuel' power plants worldwide. ( www.energyproducts.com ) I was part of a recent layoff due to loss of customer contract. As fabricator/ welder, I was involved in fit up and welding of the various structural components necessary for each system. EPI often manufactures high pressure components requiring ASME code procedures and welding qualifications. I have these papers available upon request. Most high pressure pipe work involved TIG root welds (ASME 1-1-30) and SMAW filler and cover welds (ASME 1-1-40.

Maranatha Realty Mt. Airy, Maryland (Sept. '02 to Mar. '03)
Working under this brokerage with my wife I 'dabbled' in sales as a realtor.
I soon discovered that it's not for me!

Hard facing and buildup of high-wear areas, crack repair, and reinforcement were significant aspects of the job.
….Schuon Manufacturing, Coeur de Alene, Idaho (Apr. '02 to July '02)
Again, I have been dispatched here to assist with various fabrication projects.
…..Northwest Boiler Spokane, Washington (July '02 to Oct. '02)
Sandpoint Ironworks Sandpoint, Idaho (Sept. '89 to Dec.'00)
This was my welding and fabrication business in Sandpoint, Idaho. I had a shop and field-service truck for 10 years. Area residents and businesses would come to me for all of their fabrication needs, from repair of heavy equipment up in the woods or on the construction site, to fabrication or repair of anything and everything made of metal. I worked with stainless steel, aluminum, structural steel, and pipe. During the final two to three years of business I focused all my efforts on a single client, Pelland Automation, now known as Seamtec. Seamtec manufactures machines which weld fabric. I worked as a subcontractor to build the basic framework for their machines, as well as various other stainless and aluminum components included within the machine package. Due to divorce and two major surgeries, I eventually lost the contract and sought employment elsewhere.
Black Butte Coal Rock Springs, Wyoming ('81 to '89)
I started working here as a laborer, then, when there was an opening, I transferred to the welding department. For six years, my job was to maintain the heavy equipment used in the coal mine. Much of the work was performed on D9, D10 and D11N dozers, Euclid scrapers, 150 ton coal haulers, and 170 ton dump trucks, 2 Bucyrus Erie 1570 draglines, 3 B.E. overburden shovels, 992 loaders, 966 loaders and log skidders. After six years I transferred to the dragline department where I operated dozers, served as Oiler/Mechanic/Surveyor on the dragline, and finally, during the last year of service, I was Dragline Operator. When the mine offered severance pay prior to a major layoff, I moved my family to Sandpoint, Idaho and established a business there.
Boilermakers Local 101 Denver,Colorado ('76 to '81)
I began my apprenticeship at Thompson Pipe and Steel in Denver, Colorado, and worked in a prefab shop in Brighton, Colorado for the future construction of a hydroelectric coal-fired power plant in Brush, Colorado. Soon afterwards I worked as journeyman at power plants in Wheatland, Wyoming and Fort Morgan, Colorado, fitting and welding waterwall tubes and various structural components until construction was complete. I then found employment at Black Butte Coal, in Wyoming.
