Seeking as:
1. Inspector and/or Supervisor status in a QA/QC function on either construction projects, maintenance and shop fabrication work.
2. Reliability Technologist in developing, executing and monitoring repair work plans in regards to the evaluation, repair and safe operation of pressure vessels, piping, tankage and related equipment.

BACKGROUND SUMMARY

1 Extensive 23 years of combined experience as Senior Inspector/Reliability Technologist with the largest integrated oil company located in Canada. As the company is an affiliate of Exxon/Mobil, have obtained work experience on numerous work assignments in the USA.
2 Recent notable work experiences include three 9 month contract assignments (2005 through 2007) as owner/user Inspector representative on a 1 billion dollar (Cdn) and a $700 (Cdn) million dollar world-scale expansion/revamp projects. Also as Visual Inspector for shutdown work (2004/2007) at ARAMCO site (Ras Tanarua) in Saudi Arabia.
3 A wealth of inspection and affiliated work experience within the Petroleum, Chemical and other related industries.
4 Working knowledge of related inspection activities through seven additional years of engagement in the NDT field.
5 Particularly effective in hands-on field inspection, troubleshooting/repair methodology, and the supervision required in organizing and guiding NDT and associated trades personnel for the proficient monitoring, fabrication and repair of static equipment.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

1 Saw the need, researched, compiled and implemented a standardized site-wide maintenance paint/coating selection program. This simplified coating selection, dramatically reduced coating failures and increased company cost savings by painting contractor standardization; modified versions were adapted by several of the other company sites.
2 Recognized the need, created, and qualified high alloy welding procedures. This allowed the company to take advantage of new materials for upgrading facilities reducing downtime and increasing efficiency. Many procedures were adapted by several of the company and affiliated sites.
3 Selected to, conceived, and conducted quality audits on NDT contractors. This provided accurate contractor comparison, monitoring of efficiencies/deficiencies and improved relationships.
4 Volunteered to and performed inspection work on equipment built in Canada for worldwide company affiliates. Provided a high quality assurance of product fabrication at a low cost.
5 Volunteered to be a member of the site-wide waste reduction "Green Team". Investigated, defined and promoted areas for waste reduction/elimination, recycling and reclaiming/reuse. Direct cost savings were realized and improved company image.
6 35 years worked without a work-related lost time injury.

WORK SKILLS AND ABILITIES

* Developed and the executed equipment reliability programs including risk-based assessments, corrosion studies, on-stream NDE surveys, and API/Jurisdictional
Code compliance regulations.
* Performed inspection activities associated to plant shutdowns, turnarounds, revamps and grass root/construction undertakings. Seasoned on a multitude of Petro/Chemical production facilities such as distillation, hydro processing, thermal, pyrolysis/ethylene, batch, power/steam, tankage, caverns, pipelines and offsite support infrastructure.
* Conducted the inspection of new equipment, both shop and in-field. Also foundry inspection including high alloy castings and the expertise in the welding of high alloy materials, both new and aged.
* Trained in many disciplines of world-class safety programs, including SCBA, WHIMIS, H2S, Fire Training, Safety Watch, etc. Also have worked within various maintenance philosophies and structures.
* Diversified use of computer software such as Word, Lotus, Excel, Auto-Cad, etc.
