* As Team Lead of Rod & Bar on the CMMS implementation project I was responsible for all training, installations of hardware, set-up of equipment, inputting of all data, documenting all assets into an equipment hierarchy, reporting to senior management on progress, reports, and presentations to other departments. * As Operations Supervisor I was responsible for a multi-million dollar steel mill and its 50+ staff. Responsible for all aspects of the operations side, including HR issues (union), H&S issues, Environmental issues, MOL issues, timekeeping, payroll, QA issues, Shipping, manpower scheduling, and reports to senior management.
* As Billet Mill Roller, I was asked to fill this capacity as an experiment to use mechanical personnel in an Operations role to enhance productivity and operations delays. I was very successful in this role and became the sole trainer of Billet Mill Rollers for #3 Bloom Mill.
* As Senior Technical Advisor for the Resource Recovery Team, I was responsible for tracking assets throughout Stelco's chain of steel mills in Ontario. This took me from Toronto to Brantford. I was responsible for Electrical and Mechanical assets.
* As Mechanical Shift Supervisor, I was responsible for a crew of 10 maintenance staff, and to oversee all repairs to a large steel mill. This included all breakdowns, shutdowns, rebuilds, PM's and inspections. This included H&S issues, Environmental issues, and MOL issues.
* As a Millwright, I was responsible to repair all equipment from hydraulic system troubleshooting, pneumatic systems, conveyors, furnaces, re-heat furnaces, roller lines, gear drives, overhead cranes, large mills, cooling beds, parts inventories, oxygen equipment, lube systems, lifting equipment, etc.
