I have over 25 years experience in the industrial, oil and gas, chemical and power industry in electrical installation, testing, punch listing, precommissioning and final commissioning and handover.

WORK HISTORY

Function: Electrical construction field superintendent (onshore)
Employed as electrical construction superintendent to Fluor Mideast. In Qatar. Working in a project management construction team, on the RL (3) Common offplot condensate 1&2 project in Qatar reporting to the senior electrical lead. I was supervising the main electrical contractor and sub-contractors namely Kentz and Chicago bridge and Iron (C.B.I.) with around 300 personnel, mainly Indian/Sri-Lankan and Phillipino labour. Installing eight new condensate storage tanks in phase 1, and six in phase 2. Together with complete electrical and instrumentation packages, metering skids, 6.6Kv pumping/transfer systems. Tank and piping cathodic protection installations. New substations and control building, U.P.S. Battery packs and rectifiers. Transformer (H.V./M.V./L.V.) and switchgear packages (11kv-6.6kv-415V) with neutral grounding resistors. After the construction phase was complete I am now supervising the punch lists for electrical, telecom and instrumentation. "A" and "B" check sheet completion and handover to the turnover groups until close out. Also work permit control and coordination, lock out tag out on live systems electrically and mechanically rotating equipment. Assisting commissioning/engineering, and carrying out any relevant design change notices.
Having completed my duties on the condensate project I was then put in charge of the "Berth 3A" project as electrical and instrument superintendent. This consists of the construction of three propane and butane ship loading arms, two metering skids and a surge skid with all instrumentation packages and required electrical systems, with hook up into existing electrical substation, and distributed control system. I have completed the construction and precommissioning phases, and am now assisting commissioning to completion.

Employed as electrical construction supervisor to Total E&P. I was responsible for the complete electrical and instrumentation change out of the H.V.A.C.System on the L7 central complex and L4A production platforms supervising our own electrical technicians and associated disciplines, from demolition of the old system through to pre commissioning, test sheet/mechanical completion, handover and completion packages. Work permit procedures, J.S.A. analysis and completion of method statements
Also working as senior electrical technician/supervisor on many major and smaller projects for Total offshore platforms including the L7CC, K6P, K5P, L4A, F15A and many unmanned satellite platforms. I've also been involved in projects for Shell/N.A.M. on the K81, K71, and for Wintershal on the A6A and P16A platforms. This involved top side hook ups, installation and commissioning of fire&gas systems, condensate pump handling systems, removal and replacement of existing panels for D.C.S. distribution and switchgear, extensive heat tracing projects and reading of piping diagrams, sub sea and platform wellhead hook ups including control panels and associated instrumentation work. Complete refurbishment of accommodation and H.V.A.C. together with power distribution and E.S.D. controls. Installation of variable speed drives and several compression projects involving "Solar" gas turbines and compressors. Test sheet completion, red/blue drawing mark ups and precommissioning.

Employed as senior electrical technician/Supervisor on the N.A.M./Shell Groningen long term onshore gas extraction project at four different locations. I was responsible for the complete new control buildings electrical and instrumentation installation work, this involved managing and installing the incoming power supply, M.V./L.V.transformers, harmonic filters V.S.D. drives, supervising east European cable pulling gangs, Installing and connecting U.P.S./Rectifier cabinets, marshalling cabinets, lighting systems, wellhead control panels and heat tracing. Smoke and gas detection systems. Test sheet completion, Q.C. and precommissioning of the entire locations. I was also supervising projects at two power stations, E.P.Z. Moerdijk with a gas capacity and regulation scheme, and at Eemshaven power station installing new injection controllers with instrument packages on eight gas turbines, and various other smaller projects at this location.
