1- Prizes for Excellency from the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education (for successive 5-undergraduate years 1972-1977).

2- A 10-months Scholarship (from January 5th, 1988 to November 5th, 1988) from the Technical University of Delft (Technische Universiteit Delft), Delft, The Netherlands.

1991 Research assistant in the Study "Realignment of the Railway Line Quena - Naga Hammady in Upper Egypt with length of 20 km". The project is funded by the Egyptian Ministry of Industry.

1993-1994 Research assistant of the Study of the Construction of Railway Line between Quena and Abo-Tartour at Kharga Oases with length of 150 kms in Egypt. The project is funded from the Egyptian Ministry of Industry.

1994-1995 Research assistant in the Study "Protection of Quena - Abo Tartour Railway line at Kharga Oases with Length of 150 kms Against Sand Dunes and Sand Drifts". The project is funded from the Ministry of Industry.

1996-1997 Research assistant in "The study of the Construction of Alexandria Metro in Egypt". The Project is a joint venture between French Company (SOFRETU/ SOFRERAIL) and Arab Consultants (Moharam - Bakhoum) in Egypt. The project is funded from the Egyptian Ministry of Transport.

1995-2000 Member of the Consultant Group for the Study ofTthe Construction of Railway Line between Ismailia and Rafah in Sinai in Egypt, with length of 230 kms. The project is funded from the Egyptian Ministry of Transport.
