Company Background GUJARAT INDUSTRIES POWER CO.LTD., is a joint venture Independent Power Producer formed by GUVNL, GOG, GACL, GSFC, and GAIL to cater industrial power demand at competitive tariff which is Located near Baroda, in the state of Gujarat-India, having the following plants.

1. First phase consists of 145MW Combine Cycle Power Plant, Baroda:
- Include 3x32MW, Frame -6 Gas Turbine Supplied by BHEL-GE.
- 1x49MW Steam turbine EHTC control & DCS operated three HRSG supplied by BHEL, plant is running on Natural Gas.

2. Second phase consists of 160MW Combine Cycle Power Plant, Baroda.
- Include 1x106MW, Frame-9, Gas Turbine Supplied by BHEL-GE.
- 1x54MW. steam turbine EHTC control & DCS operated one HRSG supplied by BHEL; plant is running on Naphtha / HSD (mix fuel) or Natural gas fuel.

3. Third phase consists of 250 MW, Lignite Base Thermal plant, near Surat:
- Include 2x125MW Steam turbine; with CFBC Boiler Plant is running on lignite fuel.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Since 1996 to till date:
GUJARAT INDUSTRIES POWER CO. LTD. Baroda, Gujarat State.

My responsibility include the following:
As Power plant operation in charge, I have to manage work force of @ 25 operating staff members which includes operation engineers, field operator, maintenance engineer, technician & fire & safety officer.

I am authorised to perform HR&A activities for my juniors like shift scheduling, leave planning, arranging extra manpower for start-up, shutdown & important plant activity.

I am solely responsible for the safe & optimum running of the plant.
- Overall operation of the 305MW CCPP from centralized control room, which include starting/shutdown of GT, ST, HRSG.
- Operation of Gas Turbine through Mark-4 & Mark-5 control system.
- Operation of Steam Turbine through ATRS / EHTC control system & HRSG through DCS.
- Emergencies handling by taking split second decision.
- Monitoring & tracking plant performance parameters.
- Handling highly inflammable Naphtha, HSD and Natural gas.
- Co-ordination of day to day defects of the plant with maintenance.
- Giving isolation of the plant equipment during planned / forced outage of the machine.
- Preparing & maintaining of the plant performance report.
- Co-ordination with external agency likes GAIL, GEB-LDC, GSPC/GSPL for GAS fuel & Power export in grid.
- Monitoring & changeover of the Auxiliary equipment's of the plant.
- I was also involved during the commissioning stage of 160MW CCPP.

I was also involved in Erection, Testing, and Commissioning of Electrical equipment of second phase plant of 160 MW CCPP. Include the following equipment.
- Gas turbine & steam turbine Generator.
- Power transformers & Auxiliary power transformers.
- 132kv-switchyard equip. like CT, PT, SF6 BREAKER, LA etc.
- HT/LT. Switchgears.
- HT/LT. Motors.
- 110V D.C. system, include Battery & charger.
- Laying termination of power, control cable in under ground trenches.

EARLIER EXPERIENCE
Since July'1988 to April 1996, I had been working with "The Ahmedabad Electricity Company Ltd."(AECO) Ahmedabad - Gujarat(India). The company has Thermal Power generating units (3 X 110 MW), Gas generating units, Transmission (132kV & 66kV) & Distribution for Ahmedabad City.

I had been working in Electrical Maintenance Department, looked after 2 X 110MW Thermal power plant & 132kV switchyard systems. I was exposed to commissioning & maintenance activities of various electrical equipment such as Generator static & indirect excitation BHEL system, Protection relays of English Electrical & few ABB, Battery & its charger system, Boiler & Turbine auxiliaries process interlocks control panels & HT/LT switch-gear panels, ESP control & power system, HT/LT motors, Generators 11kV/137.5 MVA, Power transformers 138kV to 11Kv /140MVA, switchyard components C.B.s/CTs/PTs/LAs/Isolators etc.

My duties were preparing & implementing Preventive maintenance, Condition monitor based maintenance, procurement of spares, day to day job planning & execution in co-ordination with control room, maintaining Industrial Relations. I had been deputed for special jobs of commissioning of electrical auxiliaries at Kakarapar Atomic Power Plant (KAPP) and major overhauling of 20MW Gas power plant at ONGC, Hazira.
Preferred Industries for job Power Plant (Thermal / Gas Based) and Utilities Department in chemical/fertilizer/pharmaceutical/oil & gas plant
Extra activities Reading technical literature & computer literacy of Microsoft office. Having good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Power Point. Currently using these skills for preparing reports, analysis & evaluation of plant performance and presentations. Use of SAP for plant operation.

Membership of Indian Institution of Plant Engineers.

TRAINING COURSE ATTENDED
Gas turbine operation through MK-IV/V system at BHEL, Hyderabad.
