Responsible for managing subcontractors from Columbia, Australia, and Jamaica as well as coordinating US EPC resources to complete a $125MM USD project in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Project scope included conversion of two GE Frame 6B combustion turbines to combined cycle, including commissioning of two HRSG's, one steam turbine / generator, and all BOP including water treatment facilities, a two-cell cooling tower, water cooled condenser, and all associated site improvements.
Construction Manager, Mirant Sugar Creek Combined Cycle Conversion Project, Terre Haute, Indiana (April 2002 – January 2003)
Responsible for oversight of Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company who had the EPC contract for $90MM USD to convert two GE Frame 7FA natural gas fired combustion turbines to combined cycle. Included management of civil, mechanical, electrical, and equipment erection activites thru the EPC contractor on site. Interfaced with major equipment suppliers (General Electric and Vogt-NEM) to ensure that deliverables were on site in accordance with the supplier agreements.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
* Established project controls requirements for sub-tier contractors.
* Produced weekly reporting for project status to management.
* Attained project milestones through hydrostatic testing.
