OBJECTIVE:

Apply my sound technical abilities and interpersonal skills in the field of geological sciences to acquire an interesting & challenging position as a "Geologist".

PRESENT STATUS:

Currently working with Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd as Geologist. It is one of the leading construction companies in India with expertise in the fields of Tunnels, Roads and Hydro Power Projects in India and abroad. It has become the first construction Company in India to get it's Management System certified as per requirements of all three Inter National Standards; ISO 9001:2000 QMS, ISO 14001:1996 EMS, OHSAS 18001:1999) Following are the list of projects:

1) Chutak Hydroelectric Project: Kargil, J&K

It is a 44 ( 4X11) MW Hydroelectric Project of NHPC with prime Contractor ship of HCC, which includes the excavation of 4.78 km long HRT, TRT system, U/G Power House, Surge Shaft, Pressure Shaft, Coffer Dams, Barrage etc. by drilling blasting method.

Duration: Working as a Geologist from June. 2007 to till date.

2) USB Rail line Project: J&K

It is a rail line project between Udhampur - Srinagar - Baramula of Northern Railway with prime Contractor ship of IRCON, which includes the excavation of 4.5 km long tunnel by drilling blasting, several bridges and a shaft (15mtr dia & 55 mtr deep).

3) Pir-panjal rail tunnel: J&K

It is a extended part of USB Rail project in which a single 10.8 km long tunnel execute with NATM method which is specified for soil tunneling under the supervision of Geo- consultant and Rites.

Duration: Working as a Trainee Geologist from Dec. 2005 to Nov. 2006 and as a Geologist from Dec. 2006 to June. 2007.

RESPONSIBILITY:

* 3-DGeological Mapping, face logging at various sites of tunnel and giving the specifications for particular rock support system as per RMR or 'Q' value of rock class.
* Surface Geological mapping of different sites of the project.
* To monitor the blasting pattern and provide feedback/suggestion as per rock class.
* Consultation to client with relevant drawings and details of the project area.
* Laisoning with consultations.
* Preparation of loose fall report with right documentation.
* Monitoring & analysis of deformation by use of specific instrumentation (MPBX, SPBX, Load Cell, Tape Convergence).

* M.Sc1st year: Structural mapping and structural analysis in and around Ghatshila, Tentuldanga and Galudih. A visit to Singhbhum shear zone.

* M.Sc2nd year: Industrial field work in and around Jharkhand (A visit to Jamadoba coal mine and its Beneficiation plant, CMRI, CFRI), Noamundi (Iron ore mine and its Beneficiation plant), Jamshedpur (A visit to Uranium mine at Narwarpahar and the Beneficiation plant at Jadugoda) and Muree (A visit to Aluminum Beneficiation plant).

M.Sc. DISSERTATION:

"Rock magnetic studies of some high grade rocks and associated intrusive from Tambaram, South India" under supervision of Dr. Supriya Mondal.
