Responsibilities:
- Ensure that an adequate program of Safety Audits and Inspections by checklists are prepared and carried out, that adequate records are kept of same and that Safety recommendations arising there from are promptly implemented.

- Preparing of various plan related to the safety matters based on H&S Paln.

- To be a member secretary of the H&S Committee

- To be a co-coordinator of various rescue operation i.e. fire emergency, tunnel emergency evacuation and other accidents.

- To investigative and reporting various kinds of accident, incident, near miss and recommend for the preventive measures.

- Monitoring of safety measures of open and underground blasting activity.

- The regular review of the Project H&S Plan to ensure that it remains comprehensive, effective, up-to-date and reflects the prevailing requirements of the Project. Where there have been significant changes in the organizational structure, hazards or arrangements for health and safety on MMHEP-Lot C requiring amendment or adjustment of the H&S Plan.

- To represent DDC-JV(C) towards the Client and the Engineer in all H&S matters required for the execution of MMHEP-Lot C.

- The provision of a comprehensive H&S advisory service to the Project Manager, relevant members of the Contractor's management team and, where appropriate, representatives of the sub-contractors of the project

- The establishment and maintenance of H&S inspection procedures, including the preparation and appropriate distribution of written reports detailing defects, weakness and recommendations for improvement

- The establishment and maintenance of adequate procedures to ensure that all accidents and dangerous occurrences are thoroughly investigated and promptly reported to the appropriate parties

- The maintenance of comprehensive accident and dangerous occurrence statistics for the Project

- Liaison with relevant authorities, H&S inspector's as well as sub-contractor's H&S personnel on health and safety matters.

- The H&S induction to all workers at Site, educating and instilling the respective awareness to all personnel.

- Ensuring that all workers are provided with proper personal protective equipment (PPE) which shall be used and maintained at all times

- To appoint H&S inspectors and other require staffs.

- Ensure that an adequate induction training package is produced and brought to the attention of ALL personnel employed on sites. This also to include visitors to sites.
