SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:I have been in the mining industry for 29 years and feel that I have a lot to offer in the areas of safety, production, and communication. My most recent position was Mine Captain for Thyssen Mining at Chevron Mining's Questa site, at which we achieved 549 days with no LTA's utilizing both rehab and development crews. Safety and Quality of work are both high priorities to me. I also used Microsoft Excel and Word to generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the home office as well as to the client, as well as tracking man hours, drill footages, bolt counts, etc.
OBJECTIVE:
It is my goal to gain employment with a good company in a supervisory/staff position. It is my hope to find a company that strives for safety and excellence, so that I may maintain the standards of quality that I have set for myself throughout my career. I desire a position with mining or construction company where I can use my experience and skills for daily operations and have oppertunities for advancement.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Supervisor Experience: Throughout my career I have held many Lead miner, Crew Leader, and Walker/Shift Boss positions. I have held these positions with such contractors and companies as American Mine Services, Fausett Mining, Centennial Develpment, Dynatec, Thyssen Mining, L.A.C. Minerals, Cyprus Amax. Having supervised crews up to 19 men on three different mine levels and at my last position was responsible for supervising three shifts and support personnel totaling 58 people.
MINING EXPERIENCE: Jackleg and Jumbo drifts inclines and declines, Shaft sinking, Raises, Room and Pillar, Shrink stope, Ramp and Fill, Sand Fill, Back Fill, Block cave, Percussive long hole drilling and drop raises, Portals (6), Railroad Tunnel.
GROUND SUPPORT EXPERIENCE Timber, Steel Sets, Liner plates, Lattice Girder Sets, Low and High Pressure Grouting, Teck Foam. Mechanical, friction, anchor, grouted bolts, cable trusses.
