Key Accountabilities:

Health, Safety & Environment
ƒâ Conceptualising and implementing HSE policies and procedures in accordance to the Safety Regulations governed by Abu Dhabi/Dubai Municipality and the Federal Law.
ƒâ Ensuring compliance to ISO policies & procedures for Certifications; following up procedural code of practice for ISO and imparting training to employees.
ƒâ Maintaining Quality Management System and upgrading them to an Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, OSHAS 18001 & ISO 14001).
ƒâ Providing inputs during pre-qualifications and tender stages including HSE budgeting.
ƒâ Preparing HSE Reports, Daily assignments, Accident and Injury reporting, Incident reporting, Accident Investigation.
ƒâ Implementing Occupational Health and Safety plans entailing identification of opportunities, analysis of data, cost benefit analysis, implementation & post audits.
ƒâ Identifying activities & processes which are hazardous and undertaking steps for curtailing associated risks; charting several safety measures for minimizing occurrence of accidents, fires, calamities; conducting investigations for determining the cause of industrial accidents.
ƒâ Conceptualizing an emergency plan for combating accidents and other incidents; foreseeing performance bottlenecks and taking corrective measures to avoid the same.
ƒâ Deploying Safety Work Permits system / Fire Protection Systems for minimising occurrence of accidents, fires, calamities.
ƒâ Conducting training programs for employees to generate awareness about EHS processes, in close co-ordination with Departmental Managers.
ƒâ Organising Safety Awareness Programs and ensuring fulfilment of all statutory requirements related to Safety, Health & Environment.
ƒâ Providing effective leadership and direction to the business in Projects - planning, construction, commissioning and servicing, on all HSE issues.
ƒâ Developing, implementing & maintaining HSE programs and plans in accordance with all HSE processes, and UAE laws and permits.
ƒâ Conducting Accident Investigations to determine accurate root cause analysis, and proactive solutions; assisting in the development and delivery of training workshops, best practice tools and communication processes.
ƒâ Operating within the terms of BS EN ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and other such approvals as the Company may need and secure from time to time.
ƒâ Maintaining the integrity and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System; reviewing and reporting the Integrated Management System organization and programmes to the top management of the Company.

Safety Management System
ƒâ Conducting safety audits; investigating incident / near misses and disseminating the learning points.
ƒâ Identifying potential hazards and taking necessary preventive measures; encouraging safety promotional programs.
ƒâ Carrying out General Safety Inspection, Equipment Inspection, House keeping Inspection; making recommendations to address issues and problems identified by these inspections.
ƒâ Eliminating unsafe working conditions at the place of work; minimizing work injury at site and avoiding loss of man-hours man-days.
ƒâ Assisting workers with First Aid Treatment in case of emergency; identifying potential emergency and Emergency response procedures.
ƒâ Coordinating with external auditors for initiating relevant actions in case of non compliance.
ƒâ Conducting internal audits as per the check list to ensure all operations are executed within the set environmental stipulations.
ƒâ Formulating safety incentive /awards program and safety promotional programs to motivate personnel to work safely.
ƒâ Participating as a member of an emergency team, providing first line decisions concerning containment of emergency.
ƒâ Preparing duty rosters and acting as in charge of Emergency situation team.

Man Management
ƒâ Designing & developing modules and customizing training programmes for individuals and corporate based on the training need analysis to enhance the EHS standards.
ƒâ Working on succession planning of the workforce, shift management activities, appraising the member's performance & providing feedback.
