Academic Mini project
Linear Angular Frequency Meter (LAFM):

Linear angular frequency meter is a device which accurately determines the frequency of input signal. With the help of selection mode it can distinguishes between linear and angular input. We just press the start button for frequency display. The device computes the number of pulses in 1 second, which it is implemented using microcontroller AT89C51. It is a low power, high performance CMOS 8-bit microcontroller with 4k bytes of Flash Programmable and erasable read only memory. In this product micro controller is used as a counter. i.e. to count the number of pulses at the output either optocoupler module or squaring circuit. Optocoupler is used for the measurement of angular frequency. It consist of LED and phototransistor in a module, we get the pluses as output.
The device can be effectively used in areas which require accurate frequency determination.

Academic Main project
Design of RS485 Tran receiver Protocol Controller:

To obtain a design of RS 485 Transreceiver protocol controller using VHDL. RS 485 is the communication standard defined by EIA. The RS 485 standard permits a balanced transmission line to be shared in multi drop mode. Maximum of 32 driver/receiver pairs can share a multidrop network.EIA-485 is an OSI model physical layer electrical specification of a two wire, half duplex multi point connection.
In our project there are mainly three major blocks: Transmitter, receiver and a baud rate generator. The baud rate generator is the crucial block that provides the proper clock for the transmitter and receiver for proper synchronization and working, for proper functioning, the synchronization between the transmitter and receiver is necessary. The function of baudrate generator is to generate local clock signal.
We have undertaken here to obtain a simple model of RS 485 Trasreceiver protocol controller using VHDL; it stands for VHSIC (Very High Speed Integrated Circuit) hardware description language. Coded and simulated the model. Coding involved converting the basic operation into VHDL code. Simulation involves the generation of various waveforms associated with the code.
