Fujairah Water & Power Project
Currently working with the main O&M Contractor as DCS Engineer for their 650MW (GT, ST - combined) Power & 100 MIGD Desalination plant and RO Plant. Working as a DCS Engineer for the Plant, which involves in DCS Maintenance activities of Siemens Teleperm XP DCS configuration.

Nature of the work:

Modification of the interfacing signals from the various devices and sub systems to the DCS, assigning terminals and DCS configuration. Performing loop checks, functional checks for the various instruments and subsystems to the DCS. DCS Teleperm XP functional programming configuration and MMI graphic creation and configuration. Signals interface checks between foreign device interface to the DCS like GE- Mark V control system, Siemens Sicam SCADA, Siemens PCS 7 (STG, RO., Potable Plant) etc. Actively involved in the commissioning and O&M activities of the several instruments and sub systems besides attending to C&I troubleshooting assignments.

Troubleshooting Experience:
- Actively involved in the troubleshooting of Hardware signals not reaching DCS by checking the I/O Modules and testing the validity of the signal with precision instruments.
- Checked the loss of software signals through Communication Module to DCS by checking the configuration of the CM and the status of the signals using the PG Loader.
- Troubleshooting of problems occurring during configuring a bridge between two Teleperm XP DCS systems.
- Simulation of critical signals during Plant Blackout to save the situation.
- Modifying the discrepancies in Function Logic Diagrams.

Knowledge on Siemens Teleperm XP:
- Ample Knowledge of Engineering Station (ES680) and Operating System (OM650)
- Good working knowledge in FUP Editor and MMI Editor.
- Setting up of Plant Bus and Terminal Bus with Star Coupler and OSM.
- Proficient in System Administration jobs with Unix and SQL commands.
- Get Database selections with SQL script.
- Programming of Function Diagrams for Open Loop Systems.
- Creating new KKS rules.
- Setting up of MAC Addresses of AP using PG loader.
- Installing ES Network Printer.
- Saving and checking the database in the night.
- Remove locking of FUP and MMI Editor.
- Rectifying error when generating software.
- Solving problems with Online Handler and transferring AS Code.
- Clearing the error messages from OM Components in the OT.
- Taking Backup of OM Components and ES System.
- Taking the back up of long time archive and setting up a archive library with MOD.
- Troubleshooting of error messages of db repair.
