Verification for the correctness of welding consumables and dimensions, fit up and weld preparations are in accordance with drawings for the production of 14'', 12'', 10'' & 8'' riser clamps ( bolted & welded to jacket type), knee brace clamps, risers and long spools. Qualification of Welders and the welding qualification procedure and review or evaluation of NDT reports (radiographic films and MPT results). Enforcement of health, safety and environment (HSE) policies and quality control procedures. Coating inspection of 36 joints of 36'' X 1'' carbon steel pipe and Oriri 2 Offshore wellhead substructure platform for Goland Petroleum Development Company by IPES at Neptune Marine Base, Port Harcourt. QA (Mechanical) Engineer, SPDC, Nigeria. Jan, 99 – March, 07
I worked as contract staff supervising and implementing corrosion control activities on pipelines, vessels, heat exchangers and other equipment in SPDC's onshore /offshore facilities. Participated in project execution of corrosion control programs involving coating, routine pigging / intelligent pigging, corrosion inhibition and cathodic protection systems on SPDC's onshore/ offshore pipelines. Co-ordination of online gel de-sanding of crude oil pipelines & retrieval of stuck pigs in crude oil pipelines. Supervised Mechanical maintenance of the pigging traps and associated equipment. SPDC's Site Representative on field trial application of drag reducing agent of SPDC's Nembe Creek Trunk Line (NCTL) using Flow Improver. Supervision of the integrity assessment of crude oil lines by non-destructive testing involving in-line inspection or intelligent pigging.
My responsibilities or job description also covered facilities engineering and mechanical engineering activities in support of oil and gas production facilities, such as Gas compression and injection facilities, flow stations, pipelines and as well as crude oil loading Terminal facilities upgrade and revamps.

* Retrieval of stuck pig in 14'' diameter Okordia –Rumuekpe crude oil pipeline for SPDC.
* Chemical /mechanical de-scaling and cleaning of 28'' diameter San Barth – Krakama (NCTL) for SPDC.
* On stream inspection involving intelligent pigging (using various TD Williams and Rosen Inspection tools) of SPDC's 3No. Trunk line and 6 No. delivery lines.
* Hydro - test of 10'' diameter KCA offshore platform to Bonny tie in manifold delivery line.
* Corrosion and bacteria control (application of biocide and corrosion inhibitor) on 20'' Kolo Creek – Rumuekpe pipeline (Weekly) for SPDC.
* Intelligent pigging digs verification on 20'' Kolo Creek – Rumuekpe and Rumuekpe – Nkpoku pipeline and 12'' diameter Imo River 1- Ogale M/f pipeline for SPDC. Routine pigging of over 246 km crude oil pipelines monthly and de-sanded 12'' diameter Adibawa-Okordia crude oil pipeline using gel technology.
* Soil resistivity survey for the design and construction of 3 Nos. cathodic protection ground beds.
* Field trial of drag reducing agent or flow improver chemical injection on Nembe Creek trunk line (NCTL) in Nembe field for SPDC.
Project Engineer - Static Equipment Maint. (PRIE/24), SPDC Nigeria. Jun, 94 – Jul, 97
Supervised all maintenance painting / scaffolding projects for SPDC's bonny tank farm and onshore/offshore facilities (KCA/KCB and BCLP). Instigated new coating applications / inspection for SPDC (East) Onshore/Offshore facilities such as flow stations, pipelines and manifolds. Provision of static equipment maintenance support service to SPDC (East)'s production department involving relief valves / process valves change out, statutory inspection on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, re-boilers and heaters, and minor mechanical structural repairs for on-shore / off-shore facilities. Team member for the decommissioning of crude oil production flow stations and its preservation of the idle static equipments. I ensured enforcement of health, safety and environment (HSE) policies, and maintenance and operation procedures/standards in the field by contractors in line with SPDC's HSE policy. Developed, reviewed and evaluated contractors' competencies to do their work safely and without adverse impact on the environment. Preparation of project execution plan (PEP) involving cost estimation, work scope, strategy and schedule. Ensured the desired level of quality of work and materials are delivered on schedule time as per specifications. Review and co coordinated daily Inspection reports of the Painting Inspectors, Pressure Vessel Inspectors and Mechanical Inspectors attached to static equipment maintenance unit of SPDC Eastern Division.

* De - commissioned 2nos. crude oil production flow station (Opobo South & Utapate of SPDC.
* Statutory inspection of 165 pressure vessels / heat exchangers /scrubbers and change out 967 relief valves / 1690 process valves.
* Turn around maintenance of 4Nos. Gas production plants (Alakiri, Afam, and Obigbo & Oguta) for SPDC.
Repair/replacement/modification of facilities/equipment in flowstation, gas compression stations, gas processing plant equipment.
Maintain and upgrade of facilities integrity.
Coating/Painting Inspector, SPDC Nigeria. March, 90 – May, 94
Participated in the inspection of Bonny terminal crude oil storage tanks rehabilitation by visual and NDT techniques. I executed quality control and inspection (visual, NDT and DT) involving the maintenance painting programme of SPDC's crude oil production facilities (flow stations, manifolds and well heads) using different painting systems and blasting abrasive medium in line with NACE, BS, DEP, EMEP or ISO standards. I inspected and certified erected / dismantled scaffolds (independent fixed and mobile type) used within SPDC facilities. I had inspected structural and painting refurbishment of petroleum gas well heads. I supervised installation of cathodic protection system anodes and maintenance of Transformer rectifier / thermoelectric generator. I had executed cathodic protection monitoring involving Close interval potential survey (CIPS) and soil resistivity survey. I did provide technical supports for the load testing/certifications of lifting equipments within SPDC's facilities.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE:
Good knowledge and experience with the international codes and standards such as NACE, API, ASME, AWS, ISO etc. as well as Shell DEP`s specifications.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Familiar with use of PC (MS Office – word, excel, power point, Email, Internet etc.), familiar with PACER (computer aided maintenance management tool), monitoring of trends Corrosion Models (Shell Hydrocor) and pipeline toolbox.
