SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
I graduated with a Bsc Electrical And Electronic Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in November 2001. Subsequently, I have obtained a varied experience of immense value in a number of capacities. The company I work for, a organisation involved in Electrical, Mechanical sectors, have afforded me the opportunity to become involved in all these sectors. My ability to learn fast even whist carrying out simultaneous tasks has been of very useful in carrying out my responsibilities efficiently and effectively. I had the opportunity to start up the Electrical Power distribution in Low and High Voltage engineering sector and the Energy Management in the company.
In my day to day activities, I actively handle tasks ranging from drawing up specifications, offer, negotiation, contracting, installation, commissioning, testing and handover of various types of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Consulting) projects. Such a variety of tasks have given me an insight into the practical difficulties facing a modern organisation. Understanding of the practicalities in project work and having to face both up's and down's while being on the job has immensely improved my confidence in taking significant responsibilities. Achieving a balance between firmness and flexibility was a highlight during these projects.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
September 2002 – Present - United Tractor & Equipment Limited, Sri Lanka as an Electrical Engineer at the Department of Engineering Support Services.
* Currently working as a project manger for Installation of 3.6MVA & 1.7MVA Power Plant for Asian Hotel Ltd and Trans Asia Hotel, Sri Lanka. Installation & commissioning of Caterpillar type Generator sets and synchronising Panels and controls. Further, site management, documentation, coordination among governmental and local community.
* Handling and Developing the power transmission and Distribution Sector in low & High voltage Engineering in the department. Had submitted several Modification, Expansion, maintanous proposal and new substation proposals in the industry levels.

April 2002 – September 2004 - BELA International Private Limited, Sri Lanka as an Assistant Manager- Engineering Projects at the Department of Power Sector Engineering
* Was responsible for Installation, Testing & commissioning (Using OMICRON Test Set) of SIEMENS, ALSTOM Relays, switchyard components, Battery chargers, Surge Protection Systems, during Construction of Veyangoda grid substation, Sri Lanka.
* Lead a team of engineers, technicians and other minor staff during the Defect Liability Period (DLP) of 12 Grid Substations under the Second Power Expansion Project of the Ceylon Electricity Board. Handled troubleshooting, repair, replacements and modifications.
* Install 33kV SF6 Circuit breakers and Commissioned in the 16 number of Breaker switch Capacitor bays under the Second power system expansion project of CEB. Further responsible for the replacements, maintenance and troubleshooting of the breakers, capacitors and its controls during its liability period and attended successfully several occasions.
* Installed and test several industrial power system including transformers, HT terminations, HT circuit breakers and LT distributions.
* Handled the Power Quality Management (PQM) works inclusive of Auditing, designing and installation, troubleshooting of capacitor banks (LT & HT) and surge protection devices.
* Project based wiring installation
* Project management and coordination among governmental and local community.

Project Management: Adding Value & Producing Results – attended a one day seminar during which I managed to understand the skills involved in project management ranging from planning, scheduling to monitoring and controlling project costs. Have developed and utilised the understanding gained related to the need for effective communication and have also managed risks.
