As the Director of Operations for Time Warner I transitioned Houston, TX and Phoenix, AZ operations from GST to Time Warner Telecom, establishing Time Warner's policies and procedures.
GST Telecommunication Inc. - Director of Operations, AZ, TX
Reporting to the Sr. VP of Operations I was responsible for all technical operations and administrative support for Texas and Arizona. This included, but was not limited to, Central Office Switch Operations/Maintenance, inside/outside plant operations, circuit installation/maintenance, frame rely, ATM, maintained and serviced customers, co-location sites, as well as ongoing construction projects and building/equipment maintenance.
INTERMEDIA COMMUNICATIONS INC 1997 - 2001

Network Operations Center (NOC) Responsibilities included managing, 24x7 network surveillance, network maintenance & installation, switch & SS7 management (DMS500's, ATM, Cisco routers, DACs, VPNs) IP/voice/data network surveillance, alarm management, dispatch, circuit maintenance & install. Project Management responsibilities included key projects in the integration of companies acquired through acquisitions.
CARLSON TECHNOLOGIES INC 1996 - 1997
Director of Engineering & Business Development
Responsibilities include the management of large telecommunication & construction projects. Negotiated several large contracts with global carriers, ie. Developing a Business Plan for the country of Japan. Managed engineering projects, construction, fiber installation, cell site selection process and build out, network control centers (NOCs), and central Office build-out/expansions. Managed advisory team in Southern China, for Motorola.
FLUOR CORPORATION 1993 - 1996

Assisted in the development of business relationships with clients as well as potential clients. Companies included MCI, Sprint, GTE, and Advantis. The expectations of these business relationships were achieved resulting in additional business and "partnering" on business ventures. These efforts rewarded us with a $260 million-dollar contract to install a fiber optic network in Mexico. After the contract was solidified, I organized and managed the project. Managed portions of the construction and implementation of Chicago's new 911 Center.

Discuss, negotiate, mediate, and resolve sensitive issues within the executive levels of our customers and Sprint, demonstrating Sprint's commitment to exceed customer expectations.
Atlanta, GA ('90-'91) Sr. Regional Operations Manager, Network Service Management (Eastern Region)
After reorganizing this department for the Eastern Region I was asked to go out west and make the changes necessary to get Network Management functioning properly in that region.

Boston, MA ('86-'87) District Operations Manager, Network Operations (New England & Upstate NY)
Responsibilities within this four-state district included all of operations, engineering, provisioning, construction, and administrative support. Switch operations/maintenance, inside and outside plant, circuit installation and maintenance, building maintenance and construction. Responsibilities also included the merging two networks and the construction of a third, Sprint's new fiber optic network.
